It's the only game that has given a lot of emphasis on the weapon.

The Cake is a lie - Portal, scrawled all over the walls behind the nice, clean exterior. Most of the game revolves around whether the cake exists or not. The statement 'the cake is a lie' is humorous due to it's use in other ways. For instance, when something is not as it seems, or there is some ambiguity over whether it exists, then it becomes a 'lie'. The word 'lie' gives it it's humorous appeal. Scout saying bonk, boink etc. : Funny sound effect, and reference to the character Scout and Vince comparison - The scout and Vince from Shamwow are very similar, and humour is derived from parodying this similarity Gentlemen - Spy says it, reflects his swarve character. James Bond can be seen t say this after murdering half a dozen people, or just after walking into a room full of archnemesis unexpectedly. Also emphasized by an image of the spy with a thousand cigerretes in his mouth. This is a humrous reference to coach's weight, however was also expanded upon to represent each of the characters: Chocolate helicopter (Coach), Mint Jet (Nick), Vanilla Hovercraft (Rochelle) and Peanut Butter Biplane (Ellis). Wubububu - the sound ellis makes when taking adreneline. Rather humorous to listen to. Everyone hates Rochelle - Rochelle was, and is, widely disliked by the left 4 dead 2 community as she is a 'poor replacement' for Zoey from the previous game. Also a sort of unparody of Francis hates everything.
