For me i honestly dont see it either, But i asked DOR to do it because the community needs this pack. We have a scout model of a girl and it sounds like a man.
Because it's pretty well made and TF2 is a bit of a sausage fest.
IMO, the voice seems a bit too nice. I think it's got to be harsh and aggressive like the scout's. While you did a better job of that than the other female scout voice packs, it's not quite there yet.

I agree with this.
This pack is already better than the other packs, but still far from perfect.
So like many users here have suggested... Make her sound just slightly younger, and make her more aggressive in her speech.

Yah I kinda wished AyesDyef would have modelled his female scout to look like that, but sadly he didn't. Maybe there's still hope out there...
As for you, DustyOldRoses and your voice, it's bloody beautiful. It just needs a bit of tweaking to get that Scout personality in there. Try to be a bit more agressive.

You're all quite helpful. Thank you for the notes. We read over the thread this evening and have decided to work on the pitch. ;-; Oh, the re-recording... but a tad higher wont hurt none. Certainly not me.
As for the aggression, that'll be pumped up as well for certain. I'll try to post whatever major progress achieved either here or on youtube. Until then, I'll be going back to a couple non-TF2 exercises to keep me fresh.

The draw of the female classes is variety. Although some people can't think to replace certain, or any, classes with female versions, - I like the male Heavy and Medic too much, I couldn't keep ChemicalAlia's models despite how great they were - they still crave variety. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with any of the original 9, but I like the model change. Sadly it's not very noticeable without a voice pack, it's too much like the old one to stand out very much in a firefight. Although that's actually a good thing, in a way, as it means AyesDyef did a great job keeping with the TF2 style.

I really like it. Although making it a little bit more annoying should be in order. Currently it sounds too "nice". Needs more showing off.

I always thought this since l4d2 introduced the female boomers. I.E. you set your gender through steam, and then for tf2 you play as that gender. Gives a realistic feeling.

Imagine a server running into a female and then beginning the entire "A girl? A girl? Internet on the Kitchen? A girl? Wanna cyber?". I think there is a reason most female gamers don't use microphones.

That would fade pretty quickly from people faking their gender just so they can use a female model and have the entire team work with them.
