Got 3 refined metals, went to my server and thought "hell, the only class i don't a have a hat for is sniper, so i'm going to get a panama". So I pick a sniper, craft 3 metals and get that panama lol.

Well, that doesn't mean I'd wear it. Unless I don't have hats for that class, I wouldn't wear a hatless.
If Valve releases a randomizer system that lets you respawn with a different hat on automatically for that class, I'd so go for it.
My 3 refined metals are attracted to Bald Scout.

I got a Bonk Helm a Professionals Panama, crafted them into a Texas Ten-Gallon because I never play Scout or Sniper.
Just recently I got a Prussian Pickelhaube.
Before the idle-killer update, I had a Soldiers Stash and a Mining Light.
