I think the option "Yes" is going to require a lot more votes in comparison to "No" in order to have any affect. This isn't a Presidency election, if 49% of the voters vote no, then it probably still won't happen.

fhait was a thread full of terrible raffles, even though the title suggested free items inside, getting one involved signing up to 100 raffles and hoping to get the item, which usually didnt happen and the person who actually wanted the item didnt get it because everyone who already had the item signed up because they were greedy, the thread lacked giving away items and raffles were a cheap excuse for having another chat thread besides tf2 general chat, infact fhait should have been renamed "free chat-come in to chat, but when you ask any items we will put you on the naughty list and you will never get any items you want, even tho you are a new tf2 player and really want that weapon"

there's people who ask and receive weapons, even hats sometimes.
a lot of people enter raffles, but much more people get items they want by just asking.

Well, thanks to those "terrible" raffles now I have a Bill's, Earbuds and many other items that I really wanted.

uh, i've raffled around 3 bills and 1 buds amongst countless other hats in the past such as the veil and amongst other things. I've met people from the thread who are now my pretty-damn-good-friends.
I've seen unusuals raffled, at least 3. And man, I haven't even really been keeping track of the thread since v25 or so, and I started at like v22.
so idk what you're talking about when you say not many buds or bills or expensive things are raffled.

If we merge the threads, we'll have lots of spammy requests, and the whole dynamic'll be thrown out, with people trying to do the FHaIT thing while the others will try to be trading. It really just won't work, and it'll mostly drive out donators. So, yeah, it really just won't work.
This is an awful idea, it'll just be desperate begging everywhere. Occasionally there willl be a raffle but it won't be a big deal.
