MapleStory TF2 Crossover. - Games

I remember when I played Maplestory... In my opinion it grew very boring very fast.. too repetative and VERY addicting, to the point it wasn't even fun... Not going back there again

So, hi. I'm the owner of said forum and private server. First, this thread gave me serious lol. You people are just lol. Anyways, Our private server isn't even online. If any of you had actually read one post in that same forum, you would have seen that we are merely talking about bringing one back that had previously closed. Someone had posted the massively tall image made by Shwig(?) of all the pixel art characters. Jokingly someone had talked about using some of the TF2 characters from that image in the game. As we are able to edit most of the game's images at will, I had randomly chosen one to play with. I did that within about 5 minutes (cropping the image, making it transparent, and putting it into the game's files), only editing the image itself, not the name or anything else. I had no actual intention to use any of the characters in the game upon reopen, I merely did it to play around with. I may not be well versed in law, but the image I used (and probably all the other ones he did, I don't really know myself) were characters from other places that he did not create, thus really not requiring me to actually ask permission to use any of his images, or be liable for any suit. However, if I had actually decided to use any of them in the game upon release, I would have asked for permission from the creator of the image. As far as Valve goes, it's certainly possible, but I wouldn't expect them to do anything, ever if I were to use anything TF2/Valve related. Nexon can barely do anything (if anything at all) against private servers, and they're the people who own the original game now.
