Just too detailed. Turn the layers opacity down. All textures are subtle in TF2.

Change the colors to be more like the TF2 palette.
Perhaps consider making it team colored as well... because a blue squid on a red heavy looks very odd.

And spongebob lost it all when they tried to appeal to a teenage audience also... unfortunately with the earlier style they already had. When a show deliberately tries to appeal to an age group, they usually lose it.
