Im really disapointed with valve about this, the whole paying for content thing just doesnt feel right.
Then dont buy them and wait for them to drop.
Im not being mean or anything, they drop too.
Well the hat doesnt but it doesnt look that good anyway.
I just bought 21 dollars with of stuff. I'll tell you guys what I get.
Well, what'd ya get?
Well, what'd ya get?
Nothing, My Items haven't arrived yet.
Kinda weird how everything in the TF2 updates have been free, until now. It's starting to look like half of the content in this update costs IRL money. I really hope they don't continue this "buy this.." for long. Like "Buy the Second Medic pack for 10 dollars"
:comeback:
My reaction to the update.
THIS will make people buy the key.
Valve is smart.
More like VALVe is playfish
they give you X item for free, but you need Y item to activate/use X item
Yes, it would be shite otherwise. Anyone know what it could contain?
Another crate you need 3 keys to open
It's just a new game element, christ guys.
You can find the keys. My friend already has one. It gives you a neat thing to barter with when you're trading because it might be worth to someone who has a crate.
I found a crate, does anyone want to trade a key to me? I don't really have anything to make it worth your time, though.
I also found a crate, but I can't buy a key :saddowns:
I want to know whats in the crates, you guys need to collaborate and open one.
Are crates buyable? I could try this.
[editline]01:44AM[/editline]
also, if you flat out delete an item, WHEN trading IS out, you are fucking retarded
I want to know whats in the crates, you guys need to collaborate and open one.
It contains weapons,2 hats and an ultra rare item.
You get 1 random item of those when you open it.
According to mine, there's a chance of getting one of a few old items, some new items, a name tag, two different paints, or "an exceedingly rare special item". I'd assume that's a custom stats one or something. I donno.
I feel weird about having to buy keys, because it takes out the point of the store being optional.

Not sure if I'm wrong, but I think Robin mentions that only cosmetic items cost real money, in this scenario, it's possible keys drop, just less often than normal items?

I certainly hope thats the case. I think that would be a good system, where the keys are findable, but have a very low chance of appearing, maybe even lower than hats. If anything, it would make people play for longer periods of time knowing that it is possible.
