More over the detail area. Removed a row of greenhouses to reduce the cluttering and have more space for hills.
And finally, a little overview of the map :). 60% of the work is done, I just need to get over at C. I still haven't figure out an idea for it which would go nicely with the rest of the map. Does anyone with a bit more fantasy than me have any idea? :P

You could always do a secret base/spy fortress thing full of beeping computers and whatnot, like the 2fort basements.

Of course. I'm also planning on doing a video like the viaduct one where you see the evolution of the map trough all the versions. Hence why I currently have 44 versions of the map.

Yes, but it wouldn't explain why there are palms in the greenhouses.
Maybe get someone to model some wheat and replace the palms with it?

It already has one.
Also, palm trees in a greenhouse make perfect sense. Palm trees need to be kept in a moderately warm environment all year to survive, hence the greenhouse. Wheat makes less sense. You don't grow wheat in two tiny greenhouses,you grow it in vast fields that take up tons of acres.
Use your imagination some, man. Maybe the RED team wanted some coconuts.

Oh, well that's a given. That's not what mappers generally mean when they say "custom skybox". They mean "custom skybox TEXTURE".
If a map doesn't have a 3d skybox it's completely amateur and not good at all.

not true. some valve maps dont.
That's because they don't need them, they look fine without them
However, your map looks kinda empty without one since it abruptly ends

Problem with TF2 is that there will always be some way for the player to get high in the air, which throws most LOS rules from HL2 out the door, Plus TF2 has very little Skybox props which makes it hard to sell the endless desert feel.

you pretty much have to with how abrupt it is. do a simple rip off of the Harvest boundary at least.

It could be a botanical lab, like with killer plants and poisonous flowers...
It could be an orchard, with C as the processing plant (maybe they grow fruit to fund covert ops? idk)...
It could be an observatory, with a giant telescope over C...
It could be a R&D facility, that is filled with fancy equipment and blast marks of things gone wrong...

Uhh Trey I like the progress so far but the helicopter hovering has no real purpose there. I don't think a pilot would just hover in a mercenary filled area.
