Liking this map, but yeah, the leafs on the trees need to be more desaturated, and I suppose your alpha map needs more AA.

This is pretty cool! How about you add a nice little "unique" touch to the map, like a model or something similiar.

Unless riddled with invisible walls it seems that rocket jumping would be a valid strategy in your corridor, unlike the original one. This might be considered too much of a gameplay change, and filling it with invisible walls might be very frustrating for players.

One strategy is to have alot of crisscrossing wires and boards sticking out to give a reason as to why you can't rocket jump. That's pretty weak atm. Maybe I can iron that out through feedback and iteration. Thanks.

However, I think the thing that isn't making it feel quite right, is that your rooms don't (or didn't?) have their own personality. When you turned the generator room into a factory-ish theme, you really hit the nail. But before, it didn't really seem to have a theme and looked more like some side room. Your old generator room was dirty and dark, a better personality would have been the total opposite, clean and bright with power. Also, would it be possible for you to make that overhead box transporter random? It just doesn't look right.

I really like the theme, Whark. Make sure to keep showing us the progress, this looks promising.
It's different, it's new, and it is a complete scene, which gives a better idea what it would look like, to start. That said, I'm not sure how well I like it yet.
