Oi, all I can get the script to do is make crit sounds, I'm obviously doing something wrong.
This is p cool. :dance:
Better script from sp12:
bind 1 "fanon; slot1" bind 2 "slot2" bind 3 "fanoff;slot3" bind mouse2 "+fanjump" alias "+fanjump" "playgamesound TFPlayer.CritHit;+jump;+crouch;wait 3;+attack" alias "-fanjump" "-jump;-duck;wait 3;-attack" alias "fanon" "bind mouse2 +fanjump" alias "fanoff" "bind mouse2 +attack2"
Put bind 1 slot1 bind 2 slot2 bind 3 slot3 in all of the other classes.
That one is too confusing.
Now this is the REAL way the FaN should be used. It's like merging a Shotgun with a Rocket Launcher, this version.
Doing it almost flawlessly now after some practice. :iia:
Vell, Sandvich, looks like ve have more reason to hate scout
That's a bit like crouch-rocketju-waait, he's shooting forwards?
I was amazed by my new jumping abilities after using that script. Practiced it also, in open maps it's awesome.
What's so hard at aiming 45 degrees down and pressing jump, duck and fire at the same time?
I'd like them to keep it in. [editline]04:32PM[/editline] I don't even play scout, I just think it's good for all classes to have more mobility. [editline]04:32PM[/editline] I miss needle boosting. [editline]04:37PM[/editline] I can do it without scripts :frogc00l:
It's too awkward for me to crouch when jumping, I dunno why. x-x;
It's too awkward for me to crouch when jumping, I dunno why. x-x;
when I jump I automatically press crouch. You go higher, and it's easier to trick jump that way
I liked the second tune, feel free to rate me dumb.
I don't think you need to crouch, I was just doing it without crouching. But it's hard to even play tf2 ever since the useless update for me though due to lagz :(
What's so hard at aiming 45 degrees down and pressing jump, duck and fire at the same time?
Timing.
What's so hard at aiming 45 degrees down and pressing jump, duck and fire at the same time?
It's not hard, it's like using a rocket/sticky jump script. It is easy to do it without the script, but you might want to use it just to make sure it works 100% of the time. [editline]12:59PM[/editline]
Really fucking useful once you get the timing down. Rather than using sp12's complicated script, I changed it up to just be a single button, bind-able to anything you want (I also fixed it...it used to say "+crouch" for some reason instead of "+duck" like it should):
//Force-a-Nature Super Jump alias "+fanjump" "playgamesound TFPlayer.CritHit;+jump;+duck;wait 3;+attack" alias "-fanjump" "-jump;-duck;wait 3;-attack" bind MOUSE4 "+fanjump"
Just change "MOUSE4" to whatever button you want. No need to bind it to mouse2 with a bunch of toggles and shit. If you're new to this, just know that you have to put this into scout.cfg and then put "unbind MOUSE4" (or whatever button you bound to it) into all the other class scripts.
Thanks for this, I hate those scripts that change when you change your weapon slot.

Aim down, then press.
Okay will try it
Don't see why you would want to use a script anyway, most servers got sv_allow_wait_command 0 anyway. And it's incredible easy to use without one.
Forcejumping makes littel man strong! I can do it without script, but it does not always go perfectly, so I'll just try that script.
Too bad I don't like using the FaN.

Also use this if you don't want it to work at all; you have to change "+crouch" to "+duck".
I can do this without the script now, just takes a little practice. To bad people complain when i use FaN :[
Don't see why you would want to use a script anyway, most servers got sv_allow_wait_command 0 anyway. And it's incredible easy to use without one.
It works without the wait commands, too. And yes, it is, I'm personally just using it for practice.
I could never get the angle right. :frown: Did pull it off a few times though. Nice vid nonetheless, and I find the 2nd vid's music very interesting. It is so fast it sounds smooth, then uses a guitar near the end.
I hope they never patch this out, it actually gives the FAN some use. Too bad the scatter is still the better weapon.
I like to go on Gravelpit as BLU and get another scout to chase me through one of the rooms that go from B to C. When I get in there, I forcejump straight up, he runs under me, and I either chase him or go the other direction
This really makes FAN so much more useful. You can make smooth escapes by jumping somewhere high or get to some places faster or confuse enemy by jumping over him, then changing direction in mid-air.
