Forcejumping is awesome, but to use it effectively, you can only run away with it, or take shortcuts, but you can't propel yourself into a point of interest (like a cp) because those usually are covered by sentries, and being really high in the air, the sentries usually push you back quite a bit.
It's useful in Gravelpit because you can go from A to C, jump on the little hut, then forcejump onto the point if the sentries don't shoot you
I use this on 2fort to jump up through the grate and past all the sentries. Works like a charm.
Same here. It works great at Sawmill to jump the gate on far left in CTF.

Is it me or is it a lot hard when you're on a slanted surface (even ground that isn't completely flat)
Is it me or is it a lot hard when you're on a slanted surface (even ground that isn't completely flat)
Just you. You don't even need to be on the ground. I can do it in the air.

If there's a sentry up on point C, then you will be pushed away. Its a dumb argument since a sentry would push any character away, but one of the lowest health classes is going to take damage from a sentry, plus since he's high in the air, will probably take damage from falling too, which most of the time leaves the scout with very little health, and back where he started.
To get rid of this, they'd have to modify the physics of the FAN another time.
I hope this is an intended feature :ohdear:

Well, the whole FaN thing that Valve did was pretty much to make it more accurate for jumps or knocking yourself back. So really, it's sort of an intended feature.
I hope Valve doesn't remove this.

How often is there actually a sentry on the point?

If the other team has a good engineer?

You thnk putting a sentry, on the CAP of point C on Gravelpit, is a sign of a good engineer?
If the other team has a good engineer?
AHAHAHAHHAAH
That's complete bullshit, you've never played on Engy Party, then.

Not on the CAP, in the back of that balcony thing. Use M2 so you can build it in the corner, build a dispenser in the other corner, and have a pyro spychecking teammates and airblasting ubers off the building. I don't think that's a bad strategy.
Jesus christ that music made me want to kill my self on the last video.
I tried this on an orange map to see how high I could go. Incidentally, the server had rollthedice, and you could roll no-clip. No one noticed anything. :frown:
I have trouble jumping up through that hole in the spawn and the grate in 2Fort. I guess when you do it, it propels you straight up. I thought it moved you forward and up, so I did it early.
I did do it once and felt badass when two Pyros, a Demoman, and a Scout were chasing me and I jumped up through the grate and they didn't know what the fuck. And because all their sentries were in the courtyard, I ran down, got the Intel, and won the game.
Does anyone know any lists for Rocket jumping spots? I'm sure they can be used with the Scout.
Don't link me to the OP video, I already watched that.
