IMO: the event host should always donate several hats/a bills hat/earbuds. This way it seems like you're in it to gain something better than your hat and you could always rig the raffle so you get the hat you want.

I didn't realize I came off as a scammer in my time spent here. I made this raffle for the enjoyment of the community, not to take advantage of people.
Also, the idea of someone gaining something is if they win first, they are able to choose the hat they want from the donated hats, followed by second, third, fourth, etc.
