I like how he says that valve have standards because he's quite clearly talking out of his arse.
We have our eyes on several quality Demo items that aren't melee oriented for future updates.
Yay.
The problem is that it takes time and effort to implement new systems, and a customisable Build PDA would probably take quite a bit of that. Say, here's a thought. If one of our friendly community modders makes their own version and shows it off to Valve, that'd motivate them to act on it! Hey Mecha, you up to the challenge or do you got a bit too much on your plate? It's ok if the latter's truth.
On terms of Engineer items, there's always this concept waiting to be modeled, I suppose. :v: [thumb]http://www.deviantart.com/download/215976759/the_way_of_the_west_by_terrormokes-d3kl4qf.png[/thumb]
Flamethrower sentry with airblast at level 3 instead of rockets.

And i disagree with the rimmed raincatcher,it looks fitting in my opinion

I've yet to see one custom building concept that doesn't look shit out of style. Engineer needs new weapons, not new buildings. They're too game changing to extensively fuck with.
Soon my friends, soon...
great idea, then you guys can all whine and cry because they take too long to update like you used to! aaah, the good ol' days.
What.
Soon my friends, soon...
give it to the soldier
Soon my friends, soon...
that looks awesome. can't wait
Engineer needs new weapons, not new buildings.
It sure would be nice if the Engineer could engineer.
What.
Tabarnaco's a pissy tool that is incapable of doing anything other than saying unfathomably stupid things (and coming from me, that's saying something) and rating people dumb. It's best to just ignore him.
I like how he says that valve have standards because he's quite clearly talking out of his arse.
Hey now, I like the Rimmed Raincatcher. I'm right with you on the Dapper Topper, though. Didn't the contributor of that hat say that he submitted it with an overly patriotic theme, and Valve changed it to a Dr. Seuss hat?
Soon my friends, soon...
I like it, but why does everyone seem obsessed with taping batteries to the sides of Engineer items? I never understood that. You make a really nice looking model, and then you tape a battery to the side of it.
Come on War Reparations. That pack was AMAZING. Though demo's already got boots and another targe would be annoying. The grenade launcher looks sexy as fuck though.
two primary weapons in that pack. But yea, I also liked that pack a lot. That cannon ball launcher was awesome and has a unique projectile, something the LnL needs.
Soon my friends, soon... http://img11.hostingpics.net/pics/831900update.png
I'm rooting for you, that's an awesome pack
yeah we can't have blu/red on conflicting teams can we?
Because tiny medals on the chest that don't even render at certain distances and hats that are larger than the class's head are comparable cases.
Because tiny medals on the chest that don't even render at certain distances and hats that are larger than the class's head are comparable cases.
So there's a line between what's okay and not? i thought the rules applied for everything not special cases.
Encourage your friends to make high quality, good perf Engineer items and submit them. Err what? its valves job to make new content not the users. There just lucky that the user base has made some content
So there's a line between what's okay and not? i thought the rules applied for everything not special cases.
If a Pyro is 50 feet away, you can still tell what team he's on, regardless of the little speck of blue on his chest. The old Uncle Sam texture would have caused an understandable confusion due to being as large as the soldier's torso. Meanwhile, these little medals won't cause any sort of trouble and chances are you probably won't ever see one in regular gameplay anyway. You're just picking nits by being upset by the medals.
I seem to be the only one who does NOT like most majority of the community stuff. Which is the most "recent" stuff [editline]27th July 2011[/editline] Oh and, my Engineer is fine as is. All I need is the shotgun that crits from behind at point blank range. Other than that, I'm fine going head-on against Sollys and such with only 150hp and the shotgun.

Sure, it'd be cool for the Engi to get some new stuff, but he still plays fine as he is with the vanilla and Engi Update stocks (and I must be one of a few people who are okay with using the Jag). What he has already doesn't really make new weapons all that neccessary (and considering the fact people still have issues with the power of the Wrangler...)
no class needs new weapons But having new stuff to mess around with brings some new life into the game. And the Engineer class certainly needs something new and impressive looking to really bring it back. He's falling behind the other classes very quickly.

It's fucking amazing for moving buildings. You whack a moved building with the Jag once and it's up instantly. I love it.

I mean FPS-wise.
