Let's talk about a few changes. 3 days until it happens
FHAIT changed from it's original goal. Now it's just rich people getting richer while the poor people and newbies who actually need the items are outcast by the rest of the thread
TentuZero has the right idea, "Poor and irish only"
Good riddance I say
Alot of poor people still get alot though.
Also whats happening now? is like a mega raffle thread being made?

Still, the rich getting richer is defeating the purpose

True but I raffled off tons of hats to people who were poor, and I made people who had a good number of hats stay out of the running.
The rich getting richer is just a bunch of circle-jerking regulars, and not the entirety of the FHAIT. It's stereotyping to say that the entire thread is useless.
It's a thread that serves a defined purpose, and doesn't fit under any other thread or megathread. By that definition, the FHAIT should be left alone. It's just a few off-topic posters who give it a bad name.
The best decision in my opinion is to just hand out 1 hour bans for people posting off-topic, day bans for multiple and rapid offenses, and week bans for people who don't learn. Permabanning someone for off-topic posting isn't fair, and deleting an entire thread because of those off-topic posters isn't fair.
It's too tiresome for them to moderate it, might aswell accept the fact that it's going to be deleted because Craptasket's mind can't be changed.
except for the fact that it is literally their only job as moderators
Yeah but giving items to someone pretty much defeats the purpose when they will trade their hats and stuff away.
At least give it to someone who will use the item for real.
140+ hats and 2 unusuals given away here, and the unusual I gave to nerf he ended up selling it.
Also, notice how 80% of this thread is people from FHAIT arguing with moderators.
I would never sell an unusual someone gave to me for free, seeing as it would be my first unusual
I can seriously lend you unusual, because I have few that I don't use, but I expect you to just keep it in your backpack, nothing more, and return it to me when I need it (that is when I find the guy who wants to trade for it).

Anywho, I'll maybe lend you one later tonight, I'm going outside now.

Ta-da. This is what I'm talking about, people.
People giving for the sake of giving. Not for personal gain on either side, just kindness. The FHAIT may be a shitpostapalooza, but it's a place where a lot of hatless people get some good items and hats. I like to be able to say that I raffled an unusual in there, sold off my entire backpack, and gave away buds, bill's, and dangeresque glasses in there.
In this situation, Craptasket is like Ebenezer Scrooge, and the FHAIT is like the spirit of giving.
We'd need ghosts to haunt Craptasket in order for him to keep the FHAIT. Sadly, this isn't looking like it'll happen.
Honestly I'm going to miss the FHAIT, I got a bunch of stuff there and I gave a bunch of stuff there. I wasn't a regular but it's going to feel bad knowing that when the chips are down and I can't get anything, I won't have it to turn to.

You are so wrong on that tho.
I assure you that half oe people I gave an item away didn't even say thanks, and probably around 75% of them traded the stuff I gave them away.
Anywho, FHAIT creates most drama in TF2 section.

I just hope that Mio doesn't run away with it. :v:
I do not like how the moderators did not at all listen to us when we made vaild reasons why the FHAIT should stay. According from the first page of the thread, the decisions whether to keep, merge or axe threads was up to the users
You do realise that if this was any other forum, the mods wouldn't say anything before doing it, and just delete it right?
If this was any other forum that thread would have been deleted a long time ago. That's what happens to threads that go to shit.
Theres no other forum where the mods would have put up with it for so long.

He did. He got several posts of them. He said "lmao, deal with it" without discussing them.
Craptasket, when will you take time out from banning people to, as you said in the first post, discuss the counterpoints?

He's already explained why he's doing it, and you guys still can't come up with any legitimate reasons like you did for the update threads. Doomish' post was either the same (shit) reason reworded a few times, or "the gifters need a place to show off their generousity". That's not what being generous is about.
I'm pretty sure Craptasket already made up his mind quite a few pages back. So all of this is pointless.
FHaIT honestly shouldn't be existing if I didn't forget to transfer an old rule over to the current sticky, plus I wasn't a dick about it so I gave it another run.
To be honest, FHAIT - Everyone knows its ending, so they've fucked up all the chances of it not being able to continue, cause to them it's already gone. :'(
I used to hang around FHAIT back when it was new, I left when a few spammers turned off-topic spam into a habit. Now it's literally the cesspool of this section. I understand that the mods find it hard and tiresome to moderate, so deleting it is actually a good decision. The off-topic chat fits a lot better in the chat thread, and if people want to away stuff they can simply use the trading thread, there's no rule against giving away stuff for free. The only problem is that you can't beg for items, but hey, you can ask your friends for items if you are poor.
Whats funny is that I barely even see them hovering the thread until recently :v:
If it remained open, I'd probably keep more of an eye on it but Craptasket has made up his mind afaik.
I'm okay with this.

I dunno. It seemed all right when I got here. But then this thread here happened, and everything went all apeshit. Fatalism does that to you, I suppose.
