Merge unusual trading and trading. You can just make a unusual thread for anything besides trading them, problem solved. You shouldn't merge FHaIT and the trading thread because they are entirely different concepts.

I have two points:

1. Keep FHAIT its own thing. It deserves it, and it's popular enough of a place for people to not only show off their generosity to each other, but to people they don't even know. The trading thread is [I]literally[/I] the exact opposite of that. Merging them would result in a retarded amount of begging for items and no real trading going on. "Then we'll ban people" is a temporary solution because after their ban is over, guess what, they will come back.

2. Remove the god damn ripoff trading thread again already. It is bringing bad notoriety to good people. Doing it is fine. Posting about it is not fine.

umm, no. every single one of those ideas sounds terrible. i mean. maybe FHaIT can be closed, or just turned into an all raffle thread. but merging the emporium which showcases mods, and skins with a bunch of pictures of fan art and random ass videos seems like the greatest clusterfuck of all time. honestly all this merging seems quite rash, and not entirely well thought out. the unusual and trading threads should totally just jump into each other. pricecheck can be scraped, and there's no need for item customization threads. that much is true. Also, on another note i for one do enjoy the update threads, but i can see how they'd be clutter, surely there's some way to expedite the process of getting that info on the boards. obviously alot of people are gonna have chapped asses about this, so i think it should be given more thought.

Its not unusual trading tho, its discussion. It has a VERY good op, and I don't think it should be merged with the trading thread. The trading thread blows chunks, everyone in there is lowballing for what they want.

EXACTLY. This mentality is exactly why this whole thing is going to cause unwanted controversy. there shouldn't be any double standards here. Clearly some people have certain feelings about certain threads, and that's gonna influence their decisions. But what we really need here, are some well thought through executive decisions. Otherwise this will just turn into a slew of posts mud-slinging all the threads that are on the chopping block. Let's be mature and practical about this. i've said my peace.

I think we've already agreed to combine the two item customization threads, and I'm greatly in favor.

FHaIT is fine, in my opinion. If you want to cut down on off-topic posts, remove the entire concept of "quote this post with a number to get a slot in the raffle" and go exclusively by ratings.

There should be, oh, three trading threads following:

Trade items for items
Trade unusuals for unusuals
Trade items for money / games

If you want a price check, go to your respective thread - unusuals go to the unusual thread, items go to the item thread, both go to the money / games thread if you're not after other TF2 items.
