I wouldn't be making such a case for those threads while at the same time saying that FHaIT and the trading thread should be merged when they also have very different purposes. In the same sense that the unusual thread's community and the regular trading community wouldn't mesh well, neither would FHaIT and the trading community. At least try to be consistent in your reasoning.

personally, having been in fhait a few times, I haven't really seen the love for newbies or whatever in there like people are proclaiming. most of it is just the same few people just chatting about nonsense. but it's been a few months since I've been in there, so things may have changed.

if I had to pick merging or removing it though, I'd vouch for removing it.

One person gives something away. That's very nice and all, but then there's a good amount of just chatting and general posts that don't have much to do with anything. In the past versions of FHAIT, this has happened time and time again.

And people can't seem to follow rules, even when it's blatantly stated.

The fact of the matter is, the entire thread isn't going to be solely raffle links and posts giving away items. Sometimes there are posts about a particularly generous player or a nice gift they just received, or screencaps of raffle winnings, and that can segway into somewhat off-topic posts, and rarely is it off-topic enough to warrant a ban, but if it is, just ban them. That's all I'm saying.
