What do you guys think?
Awesome ideas!!! But I'm the worst animator in the world xD aaaaanndd quick update (team color and worn-off edges (still needs fixes)) +

As for animating, don't worry, MaxOfS2D agreed to animate for it. So whenever you think the model's ready you should hand it off to him with the list I put up. Although I just realized- how will the sweater show up in the viewmodels?
New viewmodels, of course.
Ah. Poor Max might have a lot of work on his hands...
Ah. Poor Max might have a lot of work on his hands...
Depends on if there's anything done at the end of the sleeves though, then it's just the texture. But I'm thinking he might have to do viewmodels as well.
Depends on if there's anything done at the end of the sleeves though, then it's just the texture. But I'm thinking he might have to do viewmodels as well.
Poor, poor man. Generous for agreeing to do it though.

So while I was doing some optimization and other little tweaks, I wondered what the viewmodel would look like. I estimated the camera angle based off the stock flamethrower which I also have imported, and I estimate it would look something like this: [thumb]http://i621.photobucket.com/albums/tt299/Grenade1950/3D Modeling/foreverfire_3.png[/thumb] :suicide: Considering scrapping this entire project after all these problems.
The Spy-Glove is already a new viewmodel! I just have to change the texture and change some other things... after that, I will weight all the bones, so MaxOfS2D can concentrate on animating. Nothing else! (Really cool if he's doing this!!! He has done great stuff!!)

Or purple? Maybe the BLU sweater could also have dark orange/brown stripes in a similar way how the RED one has stripes from the opposite side of the color wheel. I don't think the green ones look good on the blue background. Fun fact: The beta spy happened to have a blue tie with orange stripes. Also, the shirts could have more stripes on the sleeves, so that when spy has his hands to the sides it looks like the stripes on his body continue to the sleeves.
About the Control Point hat, this was my idea: Excuse my 2 second shit but you get the idea. the hat would even have the light rays, so it's like it has it's own attention grabber.
So I heard people wanted less Texan/Cowboy stuff for the Engineer. Since the Engineer is in fact an engineer and he has a love of higher education I came up with this hat concept. I call it "the Dell Vinci". Get it... like Leonardo da Vinci... but Dell. :v: I would model it, but I am still a novice at modeling and hair is not my strong suit. I don't know, do you guys like it? forgive my artistic skills, drawing with a mouse is rather obnoxious.

This is awesome. Probably easier to execute then modeling a whole satellite. And two intricate for it to be a style. Someone earlier did mention that this could be a style of the lo-fi, which is true, but i'd rather CP have it's own hat. Anyways. This is cool. So a Control Point light on the top with this coming up?

I made a post on reddit taking model ideas.... 71 comments later and i feel drained sad and like a whore.

I felt like revisiting this. It's more accurate to the movie (though I still kept a few additions for visual flair and copyright infringement avoidance) and overall better optimized and less shit looking.
Can't tell if you're serious or not. Wouldn't that be hard to do?
Don't really think it would, i mean, it's not that hard of a model.
Don't really think it would, i mean, it's not that hard of a model.
Oh really well cool. I have no clue how to model though, that's why I was suggesting it. Could anyone take this up as a quick side project? I feel as though it'd be relatively easy to make real quick.
A couple things: -snip- "Ready-To-Backstab" Animation: The hand turns so the palm is face down, and the hand raises, with the fingers arching and pointing down. Similar to your current "idle" animation, but higher up and with the fingers arching more. Backstab: The hand is brought down and forward sharply from its position with the fingers downward from the "Ready-To-Backstab" animation.
This is the only part I disagree with, the ready to backstab should be him raising his hand with only his first finger extended like he's pointing at them, if he's using all four fingers it's not really a back-stab but a back-slice
