Has anybody ever tried making something from the incredibles into a TF2 item seeing as how that's where the ideas for the styles was inspired from.
The shoulder rest thing is going to clip like crazy with Soldier's shoulder. Otherwise it looks really good.
I still don't understand why the entire bullets are lodged in his head. Unless he's fighting Portal 2 turrets, no gun that I know of shoots the whole bullet, casing and all.
Readability, mostly. Also the ability to make "outsmart bullet" jokes.
he has tea parties with wooden cutouts
Soldier was in my eyes was portrayed yes as someone who hates defeat and admires old war culture as Kamina explained, but he was always batshit insane, the guy collects BLU team heads and talks to them and freaks the fuck out when someone steals them in the Meet the director comic.
lol
He also gets some things very, very wrong. Keeps calling the Engie Canadian for some reason.
And he has tea parties with wooden cutouts :v:
So my spelling sucks for some words that I rarely use, so meh.
Those things he get's wrong? Those are the ones that only apply to the TF2verse. Sun Tzu did replace Noah, just like Lincoln invented stairs.
I always took calling the enemy Engineer a Canadian as a way to say he was a draft dodger. In WWII, men who didn't want to enlist moved to Canada, thus "Cowardin' Canadian".
I said he was smart, I never said the man wasn't insane. Take me for example. I'm booksmart, but I'm also the kind of guy who will lose something he put under the couch half a minute ago. Now replace that couch thing with disregarding phsyics and launching rockets at the ground to boost his jump and you have the Soldier.
disregarding phsyics and launching rockets at the ground to boost his jump and you have the Soldier.
Thank God for gunboats.
I agree with you on the rest of the classes. Though, is Poker Night at the Inventory canon to TF2?
The way I see it it, anything the heavy says about his past or stories he tells are canon, though all interactions with the other characters are not.

The Engie could be a draft dodger, but that was never confirmed and I really wouldn't put it past the Soldier to get that wrong.
Also all those times hitting himself on the head with his shovel can't have helped :v:
But anywho this isn't going to really go anywhere or relevant so let's get back on topic.

Seeing as no one has responded to what I asked last time, I'll ask again.
I've finished sketeches of my Dick Dastardly Scout set, but I still need help with the melee. Should it be a propller tied to a pole, or a road sign?

Post sketches of both and put it to a rate-vote?
Post sketches of both and put it to a rate-vote?
Thing is, I'm too lazy to post anything but a final sketch, but I can find images similar to the sketches.
The propeller, but with scraps of metal jammed into it and attached to a metal pole. Agree for Plane propeller.
Basiclly this but team colored and without the other teams color on the side. Disagree for the sign post.
One references the Dick Dastardly show where he was in a plane trying to catch a pigeon, while other refences how he would cheat in the Wacky Races.

EDIT. WHY HAS NO ONE MADE THIS KNIFE.

I actually modeled it a long time ago when I first started - then I went on a modeling hiatus

It's a bad model, and I don't really want to remake it, though.
About the intelligence debate, I'd like to think Sniper is pretty intelligent due to his knowledge of sniping tactics, and probably some minor exposure to Australium due to his nationality.

decided to revisit my old demoman skin and bring it back to life.

It looks good enough, just slap on an interesting and detailed texture and it could work.
Either texture it yourself, or just get a texture expert onto it.

Actually, being based on a video, it has a set texture.
Made this real quick before I went to work today.
Sorry for late response, I've been at work.
If you want two vmt's for each team just do this:
$texturegroup skinfamilies {
{ "vmt1.vmt" "vmt2.vmt" } //Red
{ "vmt3.vmt" "vmt4.vmt" } //Blu
}
at least I'm pretty sure there is no "," between the vmts.
Thanks! That did the trick, and here you go. :3 Team colored Vash Glasses. :D

lol same image cause I'm lazy and I can never position player models properly upon their face for a good screenshot.
Actually, being based on a video, it has a set texture.
Of course, but don't just slap on a base texture and call it done.
With good detailing and some brushstrokes, this could be a very good skin.
Alright, I'm about tired of using Blender, not to say it is bad, but I've always seen it as the hobbyist's program and I really want to get better so I can one day do this professionally. It's been suggested that 1-2 months of dedication would be required before I can make models at the same quality I make them now. But that's aimed at people who are completely new to 3D and such, and I consider myself a fast learner, so I'd think it'd take about half a month to 1 month before I can make models of the caliber I'm making them now, and since I'm already at a break for modeling, I'd say this is a good time to learn. What I'm basically asking is if there is anybody here how'd like to teach me? (the times are also aimed at using tutorials and the whatnot, I've always HATED tutorials and never liked them because they never said the things that I needed, so an actual reference would be awesome, so I'd probably learn a helluva lot faster with one)

What's broken about it? Don't just say it's broken, I need to know why so I can fix it.

All it does is get rid of the characters, but still has the map pictures, I can't see the original ones.

Oh that. Well of course it can't look plain. Then it would look ridiculous.

Lol, your the guy who has gone on and on about how blender is great and made so much drama over which modelling program to use and now your switching, how ironic. Also, I'd disagree about the fast learning otherwise you'd have picked Blender up at least half as quick as Ronin has.
If I were you I'd switch to 3DSMax and have a good look through their Youtube page, there tutorials for there own program aren't amateur and they cover alot of ground. If there anything you cant work out then just ask here.

Find a class in your area, if you have the dosh.

Working on it.
Glasses have been updated.

I uninstalled the background mod from my TF2 and reinstalled it using the one I uploaded to GameBanana and it's working fine. Hmmm

Tempted. Very actually, you probably aren't serious, my only concern which is the irony in your post is our history and that whole deal. If you're actually serious, I might take you up on that offer.
