Probably looks like I'm copying Sexy Robot, gotta make it smaller and improve the textures, obviously.
I'll have a go at compiling it.
And GUIStudioMDL is being a bitch and refusing to work. Sigh.
Hopefully this will get some rust somewhere. It looks awfully clean right now. It could maybe use some blood splatters somewhere. I always thought the glass on the heart tank could be tinted. Like maybe brownish for RED and deep indigo for BLU. That'd make the heart look more subtle too, and stand out less on BLU. The main blue color on BLU seems a bit too light. You could try a deeper shade like on RED there. It'd make the bright part under the handle show better too. The handles itself could be slightly lighter. I think the color on the bright, glowy-like parts under the rear handle could stand out a little more. Maybe the red could be slightly more orange and the blue more cyan (like on the Quick-Fix)? Hey, how about styling all the team colors after the Quick-Fix's colors? That could also go well with the medical theme. Finally, the wires on BLU look awfully bright and slightly greenish. Maybe try a slightly warmer, less saturated yellow?
Ah, wish these could have been said while I was still in the hands of texturing it and sending it off to Robot, I didn't add rust because a few reason, 1: it would have stood out a little too much on the clean medical theme, only about 2 of medic's weapon have rust on them, and the Meet the Medic video has absolutely no rust, it's all clean bright, and medical. I experimented with it and it looked awful, trust me. The glass on the heart is not tinted because again, it looked bad, and subtlety isn't really wanted I imagine, hell, the point is that there is a heart on a fucking minigun, not supposed to look real subtle. Team colors are fine from my viewpoint, they have a strong definition to them and help the gun be differentiated from a good distance, I used the actual pallet anyway. So I don't see an issue. Glowing effects, I do actually agree with you, I never had a chance to experiment with that because the selfilum wasn't really bright enough to where it could express itself entirely, as for your Quick Fix team coloring, no, absolutely not. The Quick fix is a dark black, so the colors fit in very well, I can't imagine for even half a second those uber dark team colors fitting in for 1/5th a second on this new gun, granted, Sexy_robot is in control, but that's just my 2 cents on that matter. As for the wires, that's Sexy's doing, I had them a orange like the red team, dumb desicion I never corrected because I missed it, I agree with you though, a team colored yellow on Blue's wires would infact look good. I appreciate the criticism.
[thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/29790304/hl2%202011-08-22%2022-13-30-72.png[/thumb] oh yeah, that looks perfect for relea-- [thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/29790304/hl2%202011-08-22%2022-13-38-23.png[/thumb] OH GOD HOW DID THIS GET HERE I AM NOT GOOD WITH COMPUTERS (I need help is what I'm trying to say)
This is the first time I've ever been able to get jigglebones working properly.
I've bundled the Rayman shoes for release. I'm finishing up the promo and I'll post it on the next page.
That image is the scourge of the emporium. And I started it. WhathaveIdone
You also posted it fairly recently, so you're also helping it along...:v:

This took a ludicrous amount of time to complete (several weeks) largely because I was busy with school work and other things. But now it's done! Yay! Also thanks to Jacen for compiling help. Now, it's far from perfect. There are two major flaws: The teamcolors don't work (even though I added the necessary files) and the toes don't bend (even though I tried to rig the model to the correct bones). Also it doesn't replace the flippy-floppies (but I don't really care). So, I release this mod to you, the Emporium, to fix and improve it if you want to.[SUB]just give me credit if you finish it[/SUB] [sp]Alternate title: Where we're going, we don't need legs[/sp]
Finally got Studiomdl.exe to stop crashing on me, enjoy your sexy spy coat. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/25352599/SpycoatTurtleneck.rar I had to use Paint.NET's .vtf plugin to convert the textures from TGA to VTF so the Alpha channel got a bit screwed up, but it's not that bad.

And thank you for modeling it Ronin. So... Who's gonna be the guy to post a screenshot of how it looks with the Fancy Spy?

However, even they have some rust, dirt and chipped paint on them. They're still being used on a battlefield after all. I meant something more subtle like that. A little wear and tear is always good on a TF2 weapon. The darker team colors could make the lighter metal stand out nicely though. Thanks. People don't post enough detailed criticism here imo. Oh and one thing I forgot to mention, I feel the heart rate monitor could use some contrast in color, like some darker gray or maybe even some team color.

Does anyone have any screenshots, or any idea what it looks like to receive an unusual when using the 2D backpack Icons. I'm really (not so patiently) awaiting the release of the Complete shugo styled icon pack. I just got this because I've always thought it was cool, and I want a complete backpack set, not some shugo styled and other random ass icons.
It also doesn't have a barrel, or a trigger, the front sight, or any other details. :v:
It's not you, I'm pretty sure teamcolors are borked in the mannco previews.
Are you sure? Last time I looked they were working. I'll check in game. Edit: Ok, you were right. Phew. I was worried I'd fucked something up for a while there.
Ideas for Mega Man weapons to replace the Short Circuit. I might start on one of these next week after finals and vacation. Vote

I feel the colors could still use some work. They could be more stylish. How about deeper, slightly brownish red and deeper, more indigo blue for the rim and band? The flamethrower red and blue might work very well too. The little skulls can be the way they are now. They might, however, look nice in team yellow. Edit: I think I have a better idea. The rim and band are dark team color, like the Quick-Fix, and the zigzag pattern and little skulls are bright team color like they are now. The band could maybe even have dots in the middle of the triangles created by the zigzag pattern. That might make the hat match the mask better. It'd look more festive and Mexican like that too.
Are you sure? Last time I looked they were working. I'll check in game.
Huh, they must have fixed it. I can't see non-team colored paint on a blu guy though. Maybe that's what I was thinking of.
Uh, what?
Uh, what?
Ya know, it actually looks better than I thought it would.

So I would assume it would just use the 2D icon of whichever hat.
Alright, I've had a hat idea for the Heavy for a awhile and I've been trying to learn Blender in order to make it. The reason I felt it shouldn't be called "The Bruiser's Bearskin" is mostly because of the fact that a bearskin is a British guard hat, but I also like the way Bruiser's Skinned Bear sounds generally more than bearskin. So far, it's killing me to try to make this in Blender. Also, where do you think a team-colored/paintable band of some sort around the hat and the Heavy's head could go?
someone make a racoon tail hat for soldier. name: Davy Crit rocket get it? :v:

Though they both seem to have fallen off the face of the world.
