I ended up replacing the pump reloader with the default TF2 one because the original didn't fit the Pyro's hand and I knew that'd lower its chances so I've re-submitted the shotgun. Also, following Sparky's advice I submitted a "No Face" flamethrower version just so Valve have the option.
Finally the above picture was my first experiment with Marmoset. Thought I'd give it a try.

Yeah most of the good texturing was done by APesquera. Nice guy, I randomly met him on Polycount and we combined our talents. He has some fantastic concepts but he can't model. If I recall, he posted some cool engineer sentry designs.

This looks a bit plain and non-TF2 right now. My suggestions: make the end of the nozzle burnt (like the original flamethrower), try adding some more brush strokes on the metal (and make existing ones more obvious) to break up monotony, make it look more rusted where straps touch the flamethrower/drum (like on the original flamethrower). Also, right now, the scratches and wear seem random. On official weapons, the wear is generally more concentrated and in obvious locations.
Just suggestions/opinions, hope it helps.

Thanks, I'll definitely attempt those suggestions. The funny thing is, you picked the weapon that only I textured. Modelling is my forté and texturing is something I still struggle with but hey, practice makes perfect.

Good lord that thing is enormous. But awesome. I like the idea for the red canister. And I think the animation would be a little over-the-top; it looks fine the way it is.

Wont a medicine bottle that big clip with his first person anims? That aside its really cool. Might need like a small thing to make the visible side more interesting, but if you would rather not edit the model any further it will still be a great gun.

Well it was supposed to hold the syringes, but then due to design flaws I couldn't really connect it to the barrel of the gun and it wouldn't make sense.
So now it's just some sort of battery/chemical processing unit. Science and stuff, bro.
