Idle in spectator. The only reason achievement_idle even has an area for you to spawn into is because it was made back in the day when it was unknown if idling in spectator had the same drop rates. Now we do know, and idling in spectator is just perfectly fine and doesn't affect any of your stats. Idle in spectator.

One thing I will say about this. Last time I attempted to -textmode idle on their server I got kicked by an admin. Don't know if the rule changed but I don't think they let you.

Yeah, I wouldn't install custom weapons in an actual game server. We do it in an idle server because no one really cares and it's fun to mess around.

No, you get the reserved slot for buying premium. I'm only suggesting it because given he knows his shit about idling more than pretty much everybody else, his server is the best bet. And since it's pretty much always full, a reserved slot is a good idea.
Of course, paying for premium member every month is only worth it if you're a chronic idler. I never idle anymore (I got my hats, so I'm pulling out while I'm still ahead), so it's not worth it to me.
