I had that happen a few times. It was mildly disconcerting, the next day, that I was doing better drunk than I was sober.
I have these bouts of doing terribly, followed by killing the entire enemy team. It happens at least once a match. My famous rampages.
I came back to TF2 when they did the War Update, and I dominated an entire lowgravity server using vanilla Demo, and then another allcrits server using vanilla soldier.
Haha, that's true, I aways play better after not playing for months.. Yesterday I played with some friends, well, I couldn't believe, my sniping skills were very good compared to 3 months ago !

Playing normal Sniper is easy. Try the Huntsman.

I feel your pain on the FPS front, I used to run it fine but with more and more updates coming out my FPS has slowly dropped.

Holy shit. I haven't played arena or scout seriously since like the War update.
I got 5 kills in 1 match of arena.
