TF2 is the only FPS that I ever play and I've never got bored of it. Great review!
411 hours, and this is coming from a guy who would play a singleplayer game over a multiplayer game anyday.
Over 1500 hours in and loving every minute of it. Its my most played game of all time.

Demoknight is fun as hell
1300 hours since October 2010. I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing.
I've played 700 hours of TF2 and I still suck at it.
Demoknight is fun as hell
Unless you're playing against f2pers, any class can make a demoknight useless.
I've played 700 hours of TF2 and I still suck at it.
Same only 2968 hours. 900 of that is probably idling.

Regardless, the thing's useful as hell in a firefight with any projectile-wielding player.
I don't give a hell how long any of you have played this game. It doesn't take over 3000 hours to understand that this game is fantastic. Nor does it take 3 years. 96 was justified.

You would be hard-pressed to compile a list of games that keep people coming back for that much playtime, that list wouldn't be very long.
To be completely honest the only things i dislike from TF2 are the "community" (i'm fine with F2Pers, but fucking horders and traders) and the fact that achievement weapons aren't tradeable.
I got the game last year, have 1220 hours on it. Loved every second of it.
Just over 1500 hours, at least 1000 hours are from playing on surf servers. The rest was great fun.
I'm sort of ashamed to say I've only been playing since 2010 (when I became a PC gamer) but it's been great ever since. While I personally did not at all like some of the updates before the F2P Update (the Mannconomy update comes to mind) I must say that since the F2P update TF2's been getting even better. It feels like the F2P Update brought new life to TF2. Now I have over 200 hours and still play it almost daily. While the rest of the industry tries to be more like CoD, Valve continues to show us all that there's still such thing as a unique multiplayer experience.
3,300 hours, 0 idling. Not stopping until my PC dies, Team Fortress 3 happens, or they make the game super pay-2-win.
2000 hours on pc, 1000 on console. You can not stop, its physically impossible.
How does Valve do it though? It's like they know what we want. They make it free, they give us free stuff, they balance the game so it's fun. It's what every multiplayer game should be.
Horribly late reply, but Valve wants to communicate with the community because we're who play the game, if they can reach a synergy between the devs and the players they can deliver way better products than they would if they didn't. Every company does this, but Valve stands out as the one that really pushes into it. I like TF2, but god does it make me rage. But TF2 is a good stress reliever. Sounds weird, I know, but all the passive negative input from work etc. can be just blown off by slicing a pyro's head off.
damn i haven't played nowhere near as much as most people about 650 hrs since december '07.
Least specific review I've read in a while. The only actual points made are that the game has a lot of content, that the community is fun, that it isn't pay to win, and that classes have weapons that change their roles (could be bundled in with lots of content). Absolutely nothing about the core gameplay or functionality (bugs, visuals, etc).
For the most part I enjoy TF2, but I don't care for how bright the team colors are, and how ridiculous some of the hats and weapons are.
TF2? Balanced? Are you serious?
Demoknight doesn't necessarily help your team, but it sure is fun to just run around and slice up some unsuspecting players.
I'd say it is, you can counter a Demoknight, there's no way to protect yourself unless you have a pyro or an Uber from a demoman spamming stickies and 'nades.
It's not a case of "Demoknights are overpowered", it's a case of it dominating the Demoman class, and because of which the Demoman is lacking in variety for those who are fans of blowing shit up. Granted, TF2 is still a good game. Far, far away from perfect, but certainly a good game. [editline]28th August 2011[/editline]
TF2? Balanced?
Nothing is OP. A lot is UP but nothing is OP.
You can completely remove the downsides of quite a few weapons. The most notable examples are the Zatoichi and the Solemn vow, which both make their default counterparts redundant.
