Solemn Vow HAS no downsides.
Solemn Vow HAS no downsides.
But I don't think it is OP
TF2 is great game and all, but it's weird knowing that the game won't get anything besides from new promotional items. I just can't help it but laugh at the new items. The kind of stuff Valve only uses to get more game purchases on Steam, and therefor more money.
TF2 is one of those exceptional games that is still just as cool as it was on Day 1.
No way. TF2 was much better at day 1. I mean, I stopped playing for a while, and now when I go on it I'm being killed by things I didn't even know exist in the game and I'm completely lost. It's not what it used to be. [editline]28th August 2011[/editline]
No you're wrong. It's better than Day 1.
No. It's really not.
TF2? Balanced? Are you serious?
TF2 unbalanced is still more balanced than most multiplayer shooters.
Funny how everyone who rated dumb or disagree don't post. Probably those whiners 'omfg y u add hattes' This is true
You can completely remove the downsides of quite a few weapons. The most notable examples are the Zatoichi and the Solemn vow, which both make their default counterparts redundant.
But they don't make a class TOO powerful. That's the point.
Least specific review I've read in a while. The only actual points made are that the game has a lot of content, that the community is fun, that it isn't pay to win, and that classes have weapons that change their roles (could be bundled in with lots of content). Absolutely nothing about the core gameplay or functionality (bugs, visuals, etc).
That's probably because they mentioned those aspects the first time they reviewed the game.
That's probably because they mentioned those aspects the first time they reviewed the game.
This post makes no sense.
This post makes no sense.
They reviewed it again, so since they already stated these points about it before they focused on what's different or what's changed, and if it's still as fun as before. [editline]28th August 2011[/editline] Oh god, here's a comment on the PCG review page that shows a moron:
it don't deserve it though, but pcg isn't exactly unbiased. Do you really think an advertising game deserves a 96?, hell, call of duty deserves a better score than this.
He's saying Call of Duty should have a better score than TF2. Another guy was blabbering about how it's a shit game and he'd rather play Black ops.
I started playing on tf's 12th birthday apparently. I can see how it got such a high score since It never gets old. It's been great so far, it even got me into learning how to model/make maps.
TF2 is the reason I started modeling. All hail the Valve overlords.
Around 400 hours no idleing, started July 2010 right after engy update.
I wander how much Gabe paid PCG to give this a good review.
How does Valve do it though? It's like they know what we want. They make it free, they give us free stuff, they balance the game so it's fun. It's what every multiplayer game should be.
Call of Duty gets popular and activision is adding a subscription.
I wander how much Gabe paid PCG to give this a good review.
Are you implying that TF2 is bad and that nothing in this review is true? If so you either have brain damage or you just enjoy missing out on good games.
I wander how much Gabe paid PCG to give this a good review.
He paid them four years of amazing gameplay and free updates from Team Fortress 2.
I wander how much Gabe paid PCG to give this a good review.
I *WONDER* where you went to school. 2,200 hours since May 2009... It's somewhat of an addiction really... And that's not counting the time I spent on the more inferior console version.
About 850 hours since October 2007. I'm still terrible, but I enjoy every inch of this damn game.
132 hours I need to play some more. As much as some of the updates and whatever have irritated me, I still love this game a lot.
1006 Hours since May of 2009
I wander how much Gabe paid PCG to give this a good review.
If anything, PCG paid for the game at launch and for the items in the Mann Co store, therefore paying Gabe to give the game a good review
I wander how much Gabe paid PCG to give this a good review.
"This game sucks. Because of this, I must lurk in the TF2 subforum and constantly rant about how much this game sucks!"
Anyone signing up to Team Fortress 2 for the first time now will be part of an ever-expanding community, something that Valve have smartly steered but also learned from.
Is this a joke. If it's a joke I don't get it.
Is this a joke. If it's a joke I don't get it.
I have no idea what the point of that sentence even is. The sentence structure and word choice are confusing.
I have no idea what the point of that sentence even is. The sentence structure and word choice are confusing.
The community is constantly growing and expanding because of the TF team's doings. They are intentionally influencing players to come back for more content by adding more content, getting hype for major updates, and etc. They are learning from any possible bumps that they've hit along the road; there are no more Soldier-medal esque distributions anymore, for example.
4700 hours and still counting.

You know, a review looks at both positive and negative aspects of something. This review does nothing but praise, which makes it terribly one-sided.
