The Cow Mangler thing is old FYI. They use the system they use to paint hats in order to colour the Cow Mangler for Blu and Red players, thus saving on space by not having to use 2 textures, or 1 larger one. Also, are you sure that the expiration date thing isn't for summer/winter keys and summer coolers, things like that?

The Cow Mangler originally used VMT commands (it still does, afaik) to control "default" paintability, like an unpainted hat, and the command in items_game that allows players to paint it (but only in team colours) is new.

Anger is a whole head, it cannot equip any misc items on the head at all (which means no Deus Spec either). Weird that the Dragonborn Helmet is also a fully face replacement. I would have thought Head + Face would have been enough to prevent clipping, since that's what the Spine Chilling Skull is set to.
You don't know how much I want this in normal TF2 now. I hope they add this VEEERY soon.
So what does this mean? We won't see cool combos like the Pyromancer+Deus Specs anymore?
Pyromancer is considered a hat, you can equip any misc you want with it

Unless they intend to make it paintable at some point it was rather pointless doing it as it offers no benefits. You also got the fact it can only change one colour so you couldn't, for example, have red with red yellow and blue with blue yellow.

Well I don't know about you guys, but it seems this 2nd misc slot is doing more bad to the customization system than it is doing good. Hopefully this'll get changed because the restrictions are a bit too much fro me.

It's not the "real" name, but rather, what the GCF call it, so I guess you need to know that info. I also noticed a few weapons have cosmetic slots assigned to them. The Gunslinger takes the "arm" slot, for example.

Just sayin'.
