Imagine getting 4 gibuses on different colors... After that update i shall sang "Change gibus erry day"
This reminds me of a story not necessarily related to the topic at hand, but still a good one. This one time I was on a server where there were only three people including myself, the other team being one soldier and one medic. "Challenge accepted," I thought, so I went soldier and I tried to fight them. Got a (random, mind you) crocket in my face, and the guy acually writes in the text chat "May as well give up kid, I played Solly for the [some stupid comp thing] team. You don't got a chance." Tried a couple of classes and he wiped the floor with me in the way that a Soldier with a Medic up his ass tends to do, all the while he was spouting shit like "Get on my level kid." So I went Heavy and I Pre-Nerf Natasha'd them both right back in to their spawnrooms. His Medic left before he did, and then right before he left he called me something along the lines of a "scrub Nat-using pubby." Then, he left. Pretty fucking satisfying if I do say so myself. Yeah but that's not related to the topic at hand so whatever.
That's the kind of people I hate. The people who have such huge egos and think that they're so perfect.

I remember playing with a guy just like that. I was extremely lucky as I did a face stab on him, literally right after he bragged about getting not dieing after getting about over 50 kills. I'm pretty sure I never heard anyone rage so loud, and for so long. Eventually, we heard a loud crash, then he "left" the game.

just got an update, anyone got information?
Loadout buttons are larger. Thats all I can see.
Loadout buttons are larger. Thats all I can see.
That was in a previous Beta patch.

So everything points to the big update coming on Halloween and Valve testing stuff in the Beta until then? Well, maybe not a bad decision. Better wait longer and have higher quality/not so many new game-crashing bugs.

Why can't this be released already. WHY?
I find it funny that someone spent so much time typing these posts just to prove a point that's flawed since the beginning. If real "pros" use stickywhoring all the time, what's the point of nerfing the grenade launcher? How many times have you been killed with the grenade launcher? If anything, the sticky launcher out of all two weapons should be nerfed, but that's out of the question because Demoman is actually perfectly fine as he is. Also your arguments are pathetic, quit it.
I never used the word "pros" in any of my posts. Use Ctrl + F and look for "pros" and look for yourself. I don't understand why you're putting "pros" in quotes if I never said the word. In addition, I'm suggesting nerfing the Grenade Launcher, not because it's Demoman's most 'broken' weapon, but because it is a secondary weapon and thus nerfing it should NOT have a huge impact on Demoman play. As I've already stated about two times before, nerfing Grenade Launcher in the way I suggested not only makes it fit the model more, but it also makes it fit more in line with the general TF2 loadout scheme of 'secondary' or 'supplemental' weapons being either a tool with some kind of use (Wrangler, Gunboats, Sandvich, Medigun) or a ranged weapon that, while not as strong as a primary, can still supplement the primary weapon's use (Shotgun, Pistol, SMG, etc). Not only does this make it fit the general TF2 scheme a bit better, but it also gives the Demoman a soft nerf, which is always a fair way to start out a balancing problem. The nerfing process should always begin small, and if it doesn't work, increase it by more small increments. Huge, hard nerfs hardly ever end well. Natascha ended up getting a large +30% spin up time nerf and its slowdown effect nerfed too much. As a result, hardly anyone rolls with Natascha anymore, when they can have much more damage and a much faster spin up time with the regular minigun.
Also your arguments are pathetic, quit it.
My arguments are not pathetic, and I've only responded in a rational tone in every post I make on Facepunch. In none of my posts have I used a harsh tone or strong words (swearing, derogatory statements, etc). I've been defending my opinion (people are entitled to these, you know?) that Grenade Launcher nerfing would be a good place to start with attempting to balance Demoman. That's all. Whether you agree or not doesn't mean you have to jump in with typical Ad Hominem responses saying I'm pathetic. Grow up. (And don't even try to defend yourself by saying that you didn't call me 'pathetic', but my arguments instead. I know exactly what you meant from reading the context of your post.)
Pyro just has a high skill ceiling, if you've played against a very very good Pyro you know the kind of players i'm talking about
This isn't necessarily true. Everything about Pyro is rather simple to do, except air blasting. Degreaser + Axtinguisher kills don't require any kind of timing finesse. Just switch to your melee weapon (Tap 3 or scroll up once) while approaching with your Degreaser out to execute an easy Axtinguisher combo. Holding a particle-based stream of flame on an opponent isn't at all hard either. Shotgun aim is typical among all classes. Et cetera. The only thing with a high skill ceiling is air blast usage and timing. The (only) way you can tell good Pyros apart from decent Pyros is ultimately in their level of air blast mastery. You can tell when a Pyro's getting assaulted at medium range by rockets, but misses 50% or more of the reflects. They've got the basics of air blasting down, but they're not really there yet. I haven't yet met a Pyro that can kill by reflecting Huntsman arrows, but it is possible. Apart from occasional air blast use, good Pyros play just about the same as decent Pyros. The point I'm trying to get across is that good Pyros and decent Pyros are indistinguishable from ~90% of their play. Only about the other 10% of the time where they're required to use some fancy air blasting can you tell them apart. In addition, everyone already knows a bad Pyro never air blasts. Pyro skill level is almost linearly comparable to air blast usage and mastery.
So what you're saying is is that to be a good Pyro you can't use the primary function of your primary weapon? Cos I've seen some Backburner Pyros that I'd say have a hell of a lot more skill than airblast spamming Pyros who just stand there waiting for a Soldier to fire a rocket. You can't just flat out say that skill is based on weapon choice and usage, it's about knowing your strengths and weaknesses going into a combat situation then exploiting them when you can as well as working with your team. A Backburner Pyro that W+M1s yeah I agree is noskill, but when he's doing it to make enemies back away from a Medic getting ready to deploy an uber or an Engineer setting up I'd say it's legit. What I'm saying is you can't just say a Pyro is skilled/unskilled based on their loadout and airblast usage, tactics and teamwork comes into it too. Anyway back to the Beta, whats with the random Medigun change in the middle of all these hats?

Anyway back to the Beta, whats with the random Medigun change in the middle of all these hats?
1. I never said anything about loadout or weapon choice in that response. 2. You completely read the post wrong. To the argument that said that Pyro has a high skill ceiling, I mentioned that no, Pyro does not have a high skill ceiling except for air blast use. I never said anything related to 'good Pyros never use the primary fire of Flamethrowers.' What did my post read? Using the flames of your flamethrower is easy. There's a very low skill ceiling for keeping your flamethrower in range and fixed onto an enemy target. Using Degreaser + Axtinguisher combo kills is easy, too. Aiming with a shotgun is easy. Aiming with a flare gun/detonator, for whoever uses those, is pretty easy, too. Everything about Pyro is easy, except for air blasting. The point is you can't really tell a good Pyro apart from a decent Pyro by just observing only how they keep their flamethrower fixed on an enemy. Again, shooting the flamethrower is easy. In addition, tactics and teamwork is not Pyro class exclusive. Every class in TF2 needs good teamwork to succeed. So my response in a single sentence reads as follows: The entire Pyro class itself doesn't really have a high skill ceiling, only Air Blast has a high skill ceiling. Reading comprehension, people. Use it.
I've been defending my opinion (people are entitled to these, you know?)
A wild Sneakman appears! Sneakman uses Embargo! Joey JoJo can no longer have opinions! We need him to come in here and lay down the law for weapon preference. The man can end a TF2 argument in record time.
Aiming with a shotgun is easy. Aiming with a flare gun/detonator, for whoever uses those, is pretty easy, too.
This is where I disagree with you
I use flaregun 90% of my Pyro time, and I can tell you I still have problems aiming it.
I bet the hand bodygroup will have something to do with the first person view of the purity fist and essential accesories
it's just to remove heavy's fists when he's using the boxing gloves/fists of steel
it's just to remove heavy's fists when he's using the boxing gloves/fists of steel
What happened with those anyway? Didn't Valve break them a little while ago? I still see heavy's hands clipping with them in third person.
they've been breaking them and fixing them off and on since Christmas. They were fixed for a good couple of month awhile back, but the bug seems to have come back. I'm not even sure why, it's just a simple disabling of the bodygroup. If every other bodygroup manages to work just fine, why is there so many problems with Heavy's hands?
I'm not even sure why, it's just a simple disabling of the bodygroup. If every other bodygroup manages to work just fine, why is there so many problems with Heavy's hands?
Because he wants his real fists to be steel, not beta augmentations.

Heavy's fists bodygroup is only active when the melee is out.
Every other body group is constantly active. Heavy's fists bodygroup is only active when the melee is out.
I remember handless heavy around the mann-conomy update.
Every other body group is constantly active. Heavy's fists bodygroup is only active when the melee is out.
Demoman's sticky note only appears when he taunts, and Spy's masks only appear when he's disguised.
I remember handless heavy around the mann-conomy update.
They're still here
Demoman's sticky note only appears when he taunts, and Spy's masks only appear when he's disguised.
Except Demo's sticky note is controlled entirely by the taunt, afaik, and Spy has no other bodygroups that I can think of. I'm probably entirely wrong, though :v:
i wouldn't call "spending 600 metal on a level 3 sentry to shoot yourself with" mobility
There is bullet jumping, which can be achieved with a Mini-Sentry (in fact, it's recommended that you use a Mini-Sentry) but it costs a lot of health.
Except Demo's sticky note is controlled entirely by the taunt, afaik, and Spy has no other bodygroups that I can think of. I'm probably entirely wrong, though :v:
bodygroups often have issues with spy disguises and heavy's hands protip: if you see a demoman without legs running around, 99% chance he's a spy.
