this thread brings out the immense stupidity of the tf2 fanbase showing that they will literally go this far for virtual hats and different colored text because of their incessant need to have everything.

Excuse me? This is Sir Icy here and I recently quit TF2 because NoMaD "lele0108" kept bugging me to enter the codes. I only entered the codes because I was forced to. I never actually woulda done it if it weren't for our friendship. I never intended to do any harm to the TF2 economy. I just wanted to keep nomad's and I's friendship is all. True story. By the way, I never actually knew what the codes were for. Nomad just told me to enter down some codes, and give me the items, so I did. Please keep me out of this, I never meant to do any harm. I never meant to be part of a smuggling ring. Just leave me alone. EDIT: By the way, this is the first time I posted in face punch, no joke! I was curious about facepunch and registered a few months ago.

Whole reason I quit the game anyway. Is facepunch really that bad? I needed a new forum since my gaming community... broke up. But still, I really intended to do no harm. Facepunch is all over the place, depends on where you hang out, but I'd say it's damn well better than most. I don't know much about the TF2 section, though, not really my area. I'm watching this thread for trouble though, seeing lots of new registrations coming into it presumably from reddit.

I was just instructed to do what NoMaD said.[/QUOTE] back in my day, TF2 used to be about pushing the kart, capping points, backstabbing everyone, raging at useless snipers on 2fort, etc. I cannot believe it's come to the point where we're discussing how crippled TF2's "economy" of virtual commodities is, and are uncovering virtual piracy conspiracies by tracking thousands of trades of particular virtual commodities through online Tf2 commodities trading websites.

It's like an old friend that's morphed into something completely different and almost unrecognizable. [editline] . It was likely removed because the thread was calling out the person(s) responsible and could have potentially turned into a makeshift raid against those aforementioned persons. The contradiction in moderation is likely just a communication gap between moderators; they are not a hivemind, they can't know what the others know unless they converse. If you want to push the envelope further, I'd recommend you start by calmly inquiring a steam forum moderator for the reason why your topic was removed and then progressing from there.

Since the post, I've added all of the SPUF moderators (from their steam group) -- and not a single one has accepted me yet. Details to follow.

Do be patient, it is getting late (at least in the US) and they do have lives of their own--jobs/school/family take priority over moderating an internet forum. You'll probably get a response from the European moderators first because of how timezones work out.

Still, I'm rather miffed if the guy is selling something he has a technically infinite/free supply of, though it's other people's money going to waste on an item for TF2 so whatever, it's their money.
