#occupypurityfist
I see this joke far too often as of late. It's getting stale to the point that I feel like occupying someone's ass with my foot. [editline]#occupyass[/editline] And #occupypurityfist doesn't even make sense in this context, you aren't occupying a fist, the fists are occupying a backpack. /nofunallowed

Sigh. Immediately after seeing this thread, I took a look at tf2wh.com. I liked what I saw and used it to get a tavish crown in order to complete my ocd desire of having three fitting hats per class. When i get it, I see it was crafted by JesusSeaWarrior. Feels kinda bad. :(
well just delete the craft name and problem solved.
Wish I didn't buy a g purity fist last week. I assumed he grabbed a stack of codes from a con.
Oh wow that OP, Sherlock Holmes would be proud Also now that you mention it one of the items I bought on tf2wh, I think it was a Fancy Dress Uniform, was crafted by JesusSeaWarrior
Oh wow that OP, Sherlock Holmes would be proud Also now that you mention it one of the items I bought on tf2wh, I think it was a Fancy Dress Uniform, was crafted by JesusSeaWarrior
I craft a lot of things, all day erryday. Though seriously. It's a game. Trading ruined it. No offense to everyone, but somehow I hope I ruined the market. The game was meant to be fun, for people to join a server, and play the game. Not for people to sit there and say "I HAVE THIS AND I WANT THIS, TRADE ME SO I CAN DO THIS" Valve made a stupid decision in making things tradeable and for creating a shitstorm, because ever since trading came out, people have been scammed, abused, and whatever else has happened. Selling items for money SHOULD be against ToS. On a side note, I also have codes for PAX League of Legends Skins, am I going to be blamed for having "Dupes" of them? I live in Australia, yes. Does that mean planes don't exist? No. Does that mean I don't have friends? No. It could mean that I asked people/friends of mine if they'd get me bunches upon bunches of these codes. I know many people who went there, from what I know, all these codes were obtained from there, and they were given out VERY easily. The codes WERE NOT hacked/leaked. They were from a collection I started a while ago, I hoarded them, it was fun. Edit: Oh, I'm the dumb one for stating the truth? The TF2 trading market needs to stop, it's getting people pissed off. Valve made a stupid decision in creating it. Stop getting mad because items aren't worth the same. ENJOY THE GAME.
"I don't like trading but I hoard items and trade them" what [editline]17th November 2011[/editline] good on you for destroying the economy anyway, too bad you profit off of it though
"I don't like trading but I hoard items and trade them" what [editline]17th November 2011[/editline] good on you for destroying the economy anyway, too bad you profit off of it though
I haven't profited off it much at all. If I wanted to profit off it massively, I'd have sold them all for huge prices. I'm not the one who's selling them off. Hoarding was just fun to do. Stop being so mad because a virtual market is being destroyed, the idea behind it was good. The way it was executed and not thought out, was bad.
"i hate the economy ...when i'm not the richest man in tf2." at least you can be a man of a million fists.
http://www.sourceop.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=89807&highlight=
Did I sell them? No. Did I get a few games that I've wanted? Yeah. But I also gave a bunch of games away to everyone. It's not like I'm keeping everything for myself. I thought I was being nice by giving away stuff to people who want/need things. Oh well.
tell that valve and get a extra purity fist "kick" extra from them.
I don't even.. Redundancy? Fists punch, by the way.
I never think about how far TF2 has strayed from it's intentions until threads like this show up. when you start playing and looking around, you've basically got: A wealth system determined originally by pure luck and chance stock markets based completely around pixels tie-ins to about 20 other unrelated games via promotional items and other things ability to trade items upward eventually reaching enough value to get a video game/cash money for free (in a sense, since tf2 is free) and from what this thread tells me, apparently theft, corruption, and double agents littered all over the damn place being uncovered by some incredible detection/sleuthing work this is a war game that initially wasn't meant to be any more than a small idea released with some other games in a package called the Orange Box. how the hell can such a simple idea turn into this how the hell did it come this far And yet, for some reason, a part of me absolutely loves how detailed and crazy it can get at times. It seems like it has become more than 'just a game' as of recent. It has, in my eyes at least, literally become the war ground of a part of the internet. As for the removal of all genuine fists, that would cause more of a backlash than anyone would be prepared for. I have a feeling that not everyone involved here, owning a fist or trading it to someone else, knows exactly what is going on. A sudden loss in these cosmetics would cause mass confusion, as not everyone knows exactly the kind of trickery at hand. I have, however, seen a lot of talk about the genuine fists, and a strong negative connotation people match with them. Some people might not know the full story, but it does seem that the news is spreading. I guess all left to say is keep doing what you're doing, Hushmatic. You know what you're trying to reveal, and it seems to be working.
To begin, it's wonderfully predictable that you've fallen back on the "say anything" defense. Stringing together whatever you think might remain plausible, even though all the evidence stands in contrast.
I craft a lot of things, all day erryday.
This is actually why I thought you'd acquired the account initially, not only had you indicated in various posts that you were unable to price items, but it was all the crafting. Had you had some actual experience in the trading market in TF2, you'd not take all those ill gotten refined metals, and throw three together for a hat that is very probably worth less than it's component crafting parts.
Though seriously. It's a game. Trading ruined it. No offense to everyone, but somehow I hope I ruined the market. With all of 80 hours in game, which I doubt were even you, you seemingly had no interest until you saw it as an avenue for profit. Furthermore, look for the article where Gabe himself explains how going F2P has increased the player base five fold. Or, for that matter, the fact that they've paid out over $2 million in commissions from the Mann Co store to the item designers, within the first year. Finally, this pollyanna-ish doe eyed defense in untenable, considering the way you scam and abuse people -- trading in stolen/banned accounts, spreading viruses and keyloggers, etc... With your frequent trading in the codes/keys market, you're well aware that everyone with legit keys has photos/scans. The reason you're not producing photos of the stacks of cards/scans is because they don't exist. You really are quite the internet entrepreneur, you attempt to monetize everything, you simply took your pursuit of profit too far. I really do appreciate that the administrators of this forum have allowed you to attempt to defend yourself, but what you've done is simply indefensible.
I honestly think this thread should be locked. Neither for or against either of you two, but this isn't going to get anywhere. Seriously, the best hope you've got is sending an email to the TF Team, not just posting it on a couple of forums.
No offense to everyone, but somehow I hope I ruined the market.
That is a rather damning statement, even if disingenuous. I have been in touch with a non-Valve SPUF moderator (after the initial post/today), they helped me as much as they could, and are trying to put me in touch with someone from Valve directly.
Oh no someone doesn't agree on my opinionated price on pixels stop selling explody fist

A ghost? Pretty sure I spent that time in game PLAYING. I didn't "recruit" people. I gave the codes out to people who wanted them. If I wanted to profit, I'd have asked people to pay me. The "Profit" I did make. 3/4 of it went to others for free. I just realized, since I read most of the post. You're saying that I stole my own steam account? :| That thread from Sythe, was made WAYYY before I ever got the fists. I used to unbox constantly, and all I got were stranges and hats. I spent so much money doing that. But, think what you want to think, it's all good.
Everyone is rating everyone dumb. Now I am dumb. Anyway, we should let this thread die out. We all get the point now.
If I wanted to profit, I'd have asked people to pay me.
http://static.inky.ws/image/834/image.jpg -- What about the words "sell" and "paypal" don't suggest you asked people to pay you money?

Love how JesusSeaWarrior is making himself out to be some kind of V revolutionary aiming to bring down the corrupt TF2 trading government.....yet is just as big of a part of it himself. Are you going to...overthrow yourself?

Honestly the only reason anyone knows about this is because none of the people with the codes had the forethought to make random hats. Do you know who suspects people of selling a wide variety of hats? No one. You were all bad planners. If it was me, I would have crafted every fist with another fist and just sold the hats that came out. You could even wipe the crafted by tag. Sheesh. Instead you just sold them all as fists. Obviously there weren't THAT many people with Deus Ex HR Preorders and TF2. But how many people have Team Captains, Gonzillas, Dapper Toppers, literally any hat? You can't possibly count every craftable hat ever to have existed.
An individual from Valve contacted me directly -- the take away from that conversation; " I appreciate your concern. The TF2 team is aware of the issue and will take action if they feel it is necessary to do so. " My reply of course; "Thank you, that is exactly what I was hoping to hear." I've raised the profile of the issue, it's being investigated, I'm more than content.
