Why is it when everyone draws the female spy, they always put a little mask over her eyes? The shades in the above pic. work reallllllly well.

I'm not a fan of these designs, in general or in terms of fitting the TF2 style, but I wish you luck with the project. Have you considered how she will run in that long dress, and how the long hair will behave when you rig it? I don't think the design was done with 3d modeling and actual gameplay in mind, so that might be a challenge for you. Also, she's lacking any reference to TF2 body proportions, which is a big part of the game's visual style, so I'd suggest that in terms of improvements. Dark sunglasses do seem like a good alternative, though. Also, I'm not working on that Spy. I did a few redesign concepts for the characters and pretty much tossed that a while ago. They don't want to go full-out with the balaclava because it leaves her less exposed. I don't really like it, myself. The one in the OP's reference pic is okay, but I can't stand the one on the other female Spy model. It makes her look like a superhero from the 50s, not a super spy from the 60s.
