If you go to another server and break the rules that your clan has set forward, you obviously have the capacity to break those rules and want to break them. They have every right to remove their status if they show that they can't follow their own server rules wherever they are. You fail to see the point.
If I own a clan, and one of my rules is "No racism" and you go to someone elses server being racist, I obviously do not want you representing my clan. Furthermore, you being racist on another server shows that you actually are racist, and are just hiding it on my server. I wouldn't want that and I don't know who would.

Okay let's put it this way:
Racism is banned mostly everywhere, so it's sensible to ban it in a game server, but swearing? In an M rated game? That has taunts with swearing built into it? That doesn't make any sense.
Grow the fuck up, or get the fuck out.

Not to mention banning people when their characters swear, which is something people usually don't have any control over

Honestly, that rule is so incredibly stupid that I don't think it's physically possible to be that stupid and actually be serious about it. I wonder if the main admin got hit in the head as a baby or something because that's the only possible way they could be like that.
Lololololol I got kicked cause from a ego server cause I had a "interesting spray" to say the least. Some admin with a high voice was like "Oh my god what is that! Sweet jesus I mean really, god, why, why? You ruined my childhood!" I told him that it was okay to like it, I got kicked with the reason "No i don't!!"

This makes sense, and it doesn't make sense.
Stupid little things like that you have a personal vendetta against shouldn't be upheld everywhere - this includes swearing (usually/especially in T or higher rated games). Honestly, who the fuck truly cares about swearing? And don't even pull the "kids play this game" card, because that's utter bullshit and bad parenting, and I'm not even going to start on that tirade.
Now, other things that are universally disliked (ie, racism), yes you can remove them from the clan. But you can at least be nice enough to give them a warning, chance to talk, etc.,. Don't just "you're racist, have a good day". For all you know, they could have been a) dicking around with friends that are the race in subject (my sister knows Jews that crack more Nazi jokes than anyone else) or b) having a really, really bad day and taking it out on everyone else in an innappropriate manner.
Okay let's put it this way:

But they feel strongly against swearing, so they don't want their clan represented by people who curse like a sailor on other servers. Plus, half the stories in here probably have little lies in them to exaggerate the truth. You have to know that it's human nature and everyone does it.
Anyways, I'm grown up, and I'm not getting out because i'm not defending their rule of "no swearing" i'm defending their right to throw you out of their clan.
============================
You know what, while we're at it lets argue about their swearing rule as well. I've already had this conversation before and it's probably going to end the same way, but maybe i'll learn something new.
ANY rule on their server can be inplace regardless of how silly or ironic it might be, it is their servers, and they pay for their servers, so you coming in there and saying "I want to play by these rules, and i'm not going to listen to the people who pay for this server" is immature and retarded.
But that's not even the meat of my argument. A relaxed version of the rule isn't bad in the first place. No one wants to hear someone curse constantly, and no one wants their children talking like a dickhead because of some asshole on the internet with a temper. The reason why it is rated mature is because of the violence and ESRB thinks that violence will turn you into a serial killer. Newsflash for the mentally slow, video game violence is fantasy, and children know that killing someone in a game is quite different from killing in real life. Yes, there have been studies that violent video games tend to make the person more violent in real life, but that is for any age. If a 20 year old is going to get more violent by playing it, I don't see how it should be taboo that the 13 year old gets more violent.
And while violence in video games is fantasy, cursing is not. Kids recognise that someone talking on a mic is really saying that, and they will pick up their vocabulary whether it be full of "nigger shit faggot" or not they will mimic what they hear back onto the internet, and it will leak over to real life.

Again, you're right and wrong.
Right in that, yes, I guess they do have the right to make you act a certain way. Especially if they're paying for a service and you're willingly accepting their rules and conditions to be a part of the use of that service.
But wrong in the fact that there's a point when people are just too god-damned stingy. "He swore in another server, kick him from the clan!" isn't right. It's stupid. "He's being disrespectful to other members outside the server!" Well, maybe he, you know, has something against this guy. You can't judge a person from one incident and say "He disrespected one guy, he's gonna disrespect everyone!".
Point is, just because people swear a couple of times, or do something against the rules once (esp. if it's a minor incursion), doesn't mean you have the right to immediately drop them from the clan.

This second argument only, I repeat, only applies to a clan's server(s) now. Once outside of their server, they have no more control over you, unless you are in their clan. So they can't ban you from their server for swearing at someone in another server.
And onwards to the violence/swearing thing: If the parents are letting a kid play the game, and the kid learns swear words, and the parents don't like it... guess who's fault it is? The parents. A parent is supposed to be a parent and care for their child, not distract him with some new toy (be it an actual toy, a game, whatever) and keep him so distracted he can't misbehave. The parents should then step in and take care of the problem with their child, not the service (ie, a server) or product (ie, a game).

Newsflash for the mentally slow, video game violence is fantasy, and children know that killing someone in a game is quite different from killing in real life. Yes, there have been studies that violent video games tend to make the person more violent in real life, No there hasn't. The closest thing to making a person violent is stimulation of a part of the brain that may handle violent behavior. This does NOT mean that the person will become more violent. If anything, it'll usually make them less violent.
but that is for any age. If a 20 year old is going to get more violent by playing it, I don't see how it should be taboo that the 13 year old gets more violent. See above.

It's rated mature for a reason, that's to warn parents that their child may not be mature enough to play it. What this means is if a parent buys a child an M rated game, they believe their kid is capable of handling anything that happens in the game. If the kid starts swearing, it's the result of poor parenting, not the game.
Just like taking your kid to a strip bar. You accept resopnsibility, and it's your fault if he wakes up in the hospital with a cracked skull as the victim of a bar fight.

You just proved my point. If the parents own the servers and they don't want their kid to act that way, then of course they are going to change the rules for good parenting. Once again, you going to their servers and saying "I don't like your rules and i'm not going to listen to them even though you pay for it" is immature and retarded.
@Dr.Nick
You seem to made your post very hard to respond to, but i'll try my best.
Why is ESRB games rated M for mature if violence, drugs, and all kinds of awesome things show no changes in their behavior outside of the game?
Everything else is sound in what you responded, you didn't make any counterpoints really, just proved my own further or was a neutral correction to what i said.
I have to go to bed, I don't know why i'm up at 5 am. Go ahead and respond, i'll get to it in the morning. And by morning I mean late afternoon.
God damn eGO, 2 of them bullied me beacuse of my name -.- they called me japanese and wouldnt listen, they kept on going saying retarded things like: Hurr durr you are from japan haha i am right you are wrong, if i said no they said yes you are you cant fool us hurr durr, then came the ban.

Why is ESRB games rated M for mature if violence, drugs, and all kinds of awesome things show no changes in their behavior outside of the game? Because on the off chance that the kid does become violent, they decided to restrict games that were violent. As I said, it usually doesn't make people violent, but there are plenty of people who are. This could be caused by other things and only further enabled by the violence in the game. That or the person's dumb as shit, and extremely impressionable.
Everything else is sound in what you responded, you didn't make any counterpoints really, just proved my own further or was a neutral correction to what i said. Explain why they further prove your point, don't just say they do.
Also, the parent changing the rules doesn't make the game better, it just makes everyone hate them. If you want to play a game, play the game, but if you think your kid isn't ready to play it, buy him a Wii. Don't try to make the game more suitable, because you're gonna end up making it worse.
You're saying a whole lot of nothing for me being "wrong." If the story is fabricated, and worse than the actual event, then they should have never been removed from the clan. Because to me, the story is short, sweet, and simple: The clan is being too strict.
Well, they do have the right since they run the clan. Would I run it this way? No. Would I like people breaking my rules on someone elses servers? No.
Let's say I own a store. I have clear rules posted at the doors that, in my store, there will be no racism, sexual/religious/etc. intolerance, and no swearing. Now. A man comes into my store, drops an item on his foot, and swears. Do I have the right to kick this man out of the store? No. He has only made one minor incurence. At most, I can give him a warning. If his "unlawful" behavior continues, he will be kicked.
No.
Yes. The second argument specifically only applies to servers. You stated it yourself IN your argument.
You just proved my point. If the parents own the servers and they don't want their kid to act that way, then of course they are going to change the rules for good parenting. If a parent is creating a server in an M rated (for swearing, violence, etc.) game for their child that shouldn't be playing the game in the first place, it's still their fault. It's still bad parenting. Again, though, this argument only applies to servers, as stated above.

Calm down you guise

also i love the joe.to challenge maps server but I tried to play in one of their "normal" servers and got banned. permanently. It was a friendly fire on server, so I mowed down my team in spawn as a heavy. Apparently they only have FF on so you can kill your teammates during humiliation?
eGO because I got banned for having [RIP BILLY MAYS] in my name
LotusClan - Banned for no reason, as said in the ban log thing

Valve made it so that you will only give a negative rating once every hour. It may not be an hour, but its over 20 minutes if i remember correctly.

Ugh, I got tricked into joining their Steam group. I swear to christ above more than half of them are immature dicks, and don't even get me started on the admins...
Somebody needs to band together, go on an EGO server, and then spam chat with cuss words and spam HLSS with this:

I got banned from a more less known server known as the Greenhouse Tribe Clan, or something like that. Basically all they play is play their one or two clan custom Orange maps 24/7. When I was still in a clan we had a scrim against them and I just wanted to go over and see what they were like.
So basically ten people were on the server, I was messing around as scout, when I decided to cap the last point. Somebody said "Oh no, don't do that," like they didn't want our team to win. But it turns out that they never cap points on their server and they permabanned me for doing so. It was on the MotD either.

So let's say you're at your friends house. Your friend has a 'no shoes inside' rules, and you're all cool with that. I then gets late and you have to visit your grandma because she has gotten operated for cancer.
You then go to the hospital, go inside with your shoes on as you do on a hospital and visit your grandma. The next day your friend does not want you in HIS house because you have walked in a house/building owned by SOMEONE ELSE, with shoes on.
That is how I see it.
Maybe we should make (or join, if it already exists) an anti-eGO group. Or a DiG group too, if you want.
