And you should be too. There's nothing bad with getting items for microtransactions. It's just another way to get them. This image I found on the Black Mesa forums sums up this retarded argument preety good It's still Valve, they just want to earn some more money. They dont force you to buy anything, and they are not turning to a greedy game company like Activision (in fact if you think they are, you're retarded). That's all I wanted to say, thank you for your attention
Bumped for the awesomeness.
The only thing I hate about this is that you need to buy a key for the supply crate.
I agree. [editline]08:27PM[/editline]
The only thing I hate about this is that you need to buy a key for the supply crate.
I also don't get why people complain about this. It's only 2 dollars, or trade it.
The only thing I hate about this is that you need to buy a key for the supply crate.
I hate the idea of the supply crate itself, since I dont like surprises, and would not like to pay for one
I wish we could find paint :frown:
I wish we could find paint :frown:
We can, the only kinds of paint you cant find is black paint and white paint, but you can find them in one of those crates
I wish we could find paint :frown:
you can! not sure how rare it is though. i bought two cans of paint (mainly for the mann co hat) now i have a grey football helmet and a purple bonk helm
Let's make it short: Let's see this as donation system for Valve being fucking awesome and delivering awesome patches for free. In return for donating to them, you get a hat of your choice...
Can you sell weapons and hats you already have to make more money to put in your Steam wallet?
I think some prices are over priced, and under priced for most over powered weapons.
Price = Power of the weapon would be bullshit. Natascha... y'know, 400.000$ :v:
Can you sell weapons and hats you already have to make more money to put in your Steam wallet?
Of course not, as they are preety worthless to Valve themselves, because they can make as many hats and weapons as they want. [editline]08:49PM[/editline]
I think some prices are over priced, and under priced for most over powered weapons.
I hope you're trolling, TF2 doesn't have any overpowered items
I hope you're trolling, TF2 doesn't have any overpowered items
Natascha
I would go ahead and buy that rocket jumper but there's that fucking £4 minimum thing.
Damn. I'm going to have to wait until next week, buy the Polycount bundle then wait until duplicated items can be traded. I've already got the Spy one, but I'll still save £40
Aside from the keys I am totally fine with this
Mann co store is down :C
I'm okay with the fact that you can buy items now too. I'm not okay with the ridiculous prices. I mean, my local bistro is overpriced, but I could buy a full MEAL for the price of a polycount hat.
I just feel the prices are too high. People who are being elitist because they bought items make me rage
I agree with the OP. But.. 50€ for all the new polycount items is way too much. I know I don't have to buy it but still. Who in their right mind will. I paid less for Civ 5, and that's a complete game rather than just a bunch of models.
I'm happy to know I'm helping valve when I buy something and not Activision [editline]10:48PM[/editline] valve deserves that money
Every penny

I bought a purple Brigade Helmet and "The Rocket Jumper"
if another company but valve did the same you would all complain microtransactions sucks
if another company but valve did the same you would all complain microtransactions sucks
I really wouldn't give a shit if any company makes optional microtransactions.
I really wouldn't give a shit if any company makes optional microtransactions.
Micro-transactions are optional by definition. Otherwise, it's a subscription. EG: Battlefield Heroes.
I really wouldn't give a shit if any company makes optional microtransactions.
The idea of implementing it into a game in the first place is pure shit
The only thing i am planning on buying is the rocket jumper, name tags and keys.
if another company but valve did the same you would all complain microtransactions sucks
But they all complain even though Valve did it, what the hell is your point
