Simple/stupid mistakes you know you should never make (but still do)

opening crates
Picking up a building as engie, when the building was going to be fine where it originally stood anyways.
Pressing the key that's bound to the "kill" command, I still don't know how I seem to hit it from the other side of the keyboard...
Trying to rocket jump away from a high-damaging enemy and hitting my head on a ledge.
Forgetting what spy watch I have equipped, and then running into enemies when I think I have the Dead Ringer
Spending 5 minutes trying to find the perfect sentry spot only to be rushed in by the enemy team before I have the chance to build anything and die.
Reflecting arrows. Dont, just dont.
Spending a large portion of time building up and perfecting my sentry nest so that if I have my team's support we could hold off the enemy indefinitely but then the enemy attacks and my team doesn't even try to help :suicide:
In other words: depending on your team for anything.
Relying on crits
Under attack and reloading my Rocket Launcher and not switching to the Shotgun.
Not paying attention to which way I'm going when coming out of a tele on maps like Well or Freight
playing spy, when im primarily a sniper
Whenever I'm about to backstab a medic-heavy duo, I ALWAYS miss the medic, but get the heavy. There's only been about a handful of times in recent memory where I actually DIDN'T miss the medic backstab.
Rocket jumping with less than 50HP

I thought it only took 40ish hp away?

Fall damage.
Run into the sentry over and over and over again even though I know it's there.
Forgetting what team I'm on.
Not helped when the HUD is coloured red when I'm on the BLU team sometimes. I don't trust it anymore.
Whenever I play Granary I always walk towards my own base instead of the enemy base, so then I have to backtrack all the way back. Always.
Playing Spy.
No really, playing spy is always my biggest mistake because I never end up doing anything useful.
I can't even get that camping engie in the corner.
I keep forgetting I can airblast burning teammates
I think my biggest problem is reloading my secondary before my primary if it was the killing weapon.
This is especially a problem in more competitive matches, where a Scattergun shot can nearly one-shot half the classes but a point-blank Pistol doesn't do much for high-health enemies.
Resting my hand down after respawning and missing WASD.
Try to move forward. "MEDIC!" Try moving right. "Yes." Try moving backward. Move right. Realize that I fucked up.

:(
This is even worse when you have F bound to explode.
Charging after a medic that's backpedaling with the syringe gun/variants of syringe gun.
It's the stupidest way to die but I always forget.
Although it is a nice way to get kills as a medic.

that's why my "explode" is P, much much safer

I hate the free to play players that don't even know this exists.
I always hate it when I go to sap a sentry, and realize I was using Your Eternal Reward, and didn't have a disguise yet.
Playing Sniper:Take SMG and try to be rambo
Playing Sniper:Take SMG and try to be rambo
If Rambo was a fucking wimp who couldn't aim for shit.
1. Thinking even if I ambush a sentry before it can turn around and aim at me, I can still take a poorly sentry out as Pyro. I think Pyro flamethrowers should get a tiny bit of a building damage buff because of crap like this. Not a massive one, just similar to the pre flamethrower nerf so ambushing crappily placed buildings lets you win.
2. Thinking my teammates are competent enough to deal with a Scout even when they are Heavies healed and buffed by Medics (YES A SCOUT)
3. Same as above, but replace Scout with Sentry, and replace buffed heavy to Soldiers, demos, and Spies, and buffed heavies
4. Ambushing a Sniper thinking he can't scope and kill me in 5 feet. I sometimes hate being playing Pyro.
5. Sometimes I put my fingers on ESDF accidentally and yell out "Medic". This usually happens when I respawn, or was pressing hotkey buttons I made.
My explode key is "end".
Because, hey, you're ending your life, right?
