Although that makes perfect bait for Direct Hit users. :v:

That'll give you some more detail for the weave, but weave tiling might be too noticeable. Another option would be to have the zigzags on a separate element/shell/mesh entirely with its own transparent, tiling texture. This way, you could divide up the hat mesh's UVs to certain sections of a weave texture and overlap/tile as needed. And that probably made absolutely no sense. I need to suck less at explaining stuff.
It made sense, but sounds very non standard I'll show you the current version [img]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/900111/sombrero3.jpg[/img] What I want to do is get the zigzags to be more like a cylindrical map and less like a planar map, unfortunately if I try to relax it after detaching the edges (or from scratch using a pelt map) it simply stays rounded, as it is in that picture (except it's welded in that picture) I suck at explaning, so let me know if that made no sense (and please know how to fix it ;))
