I don't know if it goes better with Soldier or Demo, but does anyone feel like making this?

Well, with all the knight packs for the soldier, you might as well give it to soldier with fitting armor.
Could also fit the demoman, But I dunno...
Because demoman Is a black knight, get it :hurr:

I loled.
wait, that's you.
I always get seams, but then again, being a shitty texture artist probably doesn't help. :saddowns:
Anyway, all I did was define the single seam running across the 'brim' with the point to point button, used pelt mapping to pull it apart, then relaxed the UVs by Face Angles until it stopped.
Yeah, that is what I normally do... but it keeps turning out like this, which has been the problem all along :P

Thanks for trying to help by the way, I was honestly expecting no responses.
any news on my minigun? D:
I just had an idea.
I'm not even slightly competent with modelling, in fact, I know shit all about it aside from some file extensions. But my idea is for you to use the community update to get beta items back into the game. Like the medic's syringe, the demo's dynamite grenade, the scout's nailgun, all those things which would be fun to play around with and cool to have in the game. Anyone like this idea?

So you're basically turning in Valve's own models to them (possibly with a new texture), with a gameplay suggestion? I'm sure that they've already reviewed possible usages for their old models and ways to implement them into the game, and so far what they've come up with isn't very good. Either way, it doesn't warrant a community submission because you're resubmitting old stuff that they made in the first place.

I personally like the DH scope my self looks very nice clamped to the side.
I also think that the DH scope looks nicer on the pistol. Hoping that this gets made! I would assume that its not too hard to make this model with only 2 parts that are already made by Valve.
I'm reposting this because no one said no :P

New eagle better?
The sideview sorta looks like an angry hummingbird. Maybe try to make the beak a bit thicker. Might just be me though.
Edit:
Also, I'm trying to make backpack images for Populus89's samurai pack, but I cont know what to name the vtf. for the soldiers gibbus.
Any help would be appreciated
Ohai new thred
I still hope that BaronVonFail still makes the DH scoped pistol
If he does I will give him an e-cookie
Are you forgetting the nipple on the top or leaving it out?
I like how soon after we let daimao have a go texture he seems to have majikally done it all.
And we left it out so we can have a chance of it getting accepted to valve, rather then barely any.
You got a new avatar!

Also I'm adding them brush strokes to the needle, so it should look less blended in and a bit more TF2-esc.

No.
I have some backpack Icons for Populus89's set, except for the helmet, as I have no idea on how to get that one in-game, for I don't think there are class-specific gibus pics.

Nicely done.
so a quick nooby question.... how do i get the vtfs to be with there original models D:
If i can do that then i guess i can get all these done.
I'm pretty sure you have to use a VMT file. I really don't know more than that.
Edit:
The Medic Has Took The Heavy's K.G.B.! As well as the Spy!

*punch out tf2*
Isnt that in model veiwer? Im talking about in 3Ds Max.
you could extract the vtf files from the tf2 gfc
Isnt that in model veiwer? Im talking about in 3Ds Max.
if you havent messed with the textures while adding the stuff to the minigun, you should just be able to add material directories to the qc and it will work.

If you kept the original models assigned to their material groups, you just need to add it into the QC when compiling.
Fuck you spark you ninja.
you could extract the vtf files from the tf2 gfc
Oh i already have the vtf and vtm for all the things i have combined together. Also when i import them into 3ds max i do selecting to import with material but nothing. I'm guessing i have to do it a bit differently. Or am I just being dumb?
scrap that. I got answered above. Thanking of you.

you dont need to have the textures visible in 3ds max, it already has the texture names assigned to them when you imported the models, so just add the directories to the qc and it will work.
So does this mean that all of these weapon-mashups will be made?
So does this mean that all of these weapon-mashups will be made?
They can be.
Hell you can make those weapon mashups in milkshape. :v:
Hooray! The problem is, my modeling skill = 0 D:
For some reason I cannot even mashup 2 weapons together D:.
