I don't have a camera beard anymore, so I can't.
But I know by playing Half-Life 2 in Gmod on DX8, the glass in Kleiner's lab on his desk refracts in DX8 mode.

You probably should create a fallbackmaterial that uses a dudv map, because those can refract on lower dxlevels too.

Or how did you get it fixed?
