Texture Wise, still within that hour or 2.

I was thinking, what about an executioner's hood for Pyro?

So what you basically want is a venetian mask?
I belive one was already made back in Daima's emporium, well not that one exactly.

The beard for the Heavy maybe?
This thread was practically more about mod progress than mod releases. Better make the next thread good. :cop:

You should make the hat a bit shiny with some folds like on the ref' picture, and yes, why not try the same beard/moustache ?

coz it's a hat
I was going to try the folds, but I'm not sure I like normal maps in TF2. I might try diffusing it on, but that would look awful. My unwrap is very unfriendly for reskinning, just like the Pyro's Beanie.
Easy enough to redo though:

Wow, two separate Doctor Who references in one thread. That's quite the record. (For this thread anyways)
Oh boy, so close to lock.
How's this?
Or rather, what can I do to improve this?
[IMG_thumb]http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m193/The_Desert_Punk/Source%20Skins/Bioshock%20Pyro/eyetest.jpg[/IMG_thumb]
I'd say: make the eyes look like the original Pyro eyes and add the Napalm grenades back on. It really doesn't need to be an exact replica of that, and if Valve ever decides to accept custom player models, it's better to go for quality than accuracy.

Personally I'd just make the whole lens green.
Also, you might want to darken the colored parts of those gloves. (the area between the fingertips and wrists)

TF2 has always accepted new playermodels, it's just that the community hasn't been quick about making them
I want the masks only. :O
This isn't a new model it's a skin with the grenades alpha'd out
I've never found a Pyro skin worth using. I used to use the beta one but I hate it because it removes the Pyro's tan glove tips.

The contribution site only has a "avatars" and "items" category, although I guess you might be able to put a custom playermodel into the items category.

What about Skull Pyro? (http://www.fpsbanana.com/skins/45616) That's at least as good as or better than the original.
I hardly ever use skins aside from hats, but I always thought makeup pyro was worth a few laughs.
Gonna need a new thread soon. :ohdear:
Wow.
A single week thread.
I'm thinking this Contribute stuff has got people's model juice flowing.

He's referring to the Contribute site, not the game itself.

Here's a story I wrote about Mister Royzo. He has already seen it but I wanted to share it with others too.
Royzo was a poor skeleton lad. Growing up in the worse parts of the graveyard. Most of his time he would make beautiful decorations and even make a hat or two. One day a young human doctor saw all the things little Royzo had made. "What skeleton should be forced to live here with great talents such as this?" Wondered the young doctor. So he asked the skeleton if he would like to get away from this dirty graveyard and into the world of the living. Royzo eagerly responded with a yes. And so he went. The two were at first shunned by most, a hat maker who used to be a doctor and a dirty skeleton, it seemed preposterous to them. But as time went they where noticed by some passerby. They were amazed by the beauty of what the two partners had made. Soon they became so well known most people couldn't have a conversation without bringing up the retired doctor and scruffy skeleton. Tired of being know as a scruffy skeleton, Royzo bought a top hat, monocle, and the fanciest suit he could find. He would no longer be the scruffy skeleton but as the very fashionable Mister Royzo.
