Get back on track then
[editline]07:33PM[/editline]
Sorry that was rude of me.
Please get back on track
eugh
god i hope that crash didn't lose the expressions i just slaved over on the female medic for the last hour
:sigh:
Find out and tell us then. I hope not.
What do you mean by that? They seem to use the HWM models when I have it enabled.
Sorry, ambiguous wording. Once you've recorded the puppet keeps the model, regardless of if you toggle mp_usehwmmodels. Thus you can have custom player models and the hwm models at the same time.
Edit: Just noticed on the Wiki - there's a section saying to not run SFM with Steam. So far I haven't had any problems doing this - should the section be removed?
Same here met, I've always ran SFM with steam and if anything, it prevents problems.
Find out and tell us then. I hope not.
:suicide:
i will do them again tomorrow
In my opinion it's pretty boring to watch, the slo-mo feels a little out of place because of the default colors and no effects, the "This is TF2" thing in the end was ugly and have you ever made anything with not-fucked-up aspect ratio?
Its the fucking correct aspect ratio. Stop complaining about it.
Its 1280x720.
Sorry i cant make it 1080p
and the end isnt supposed to be some wow factor, this shit isn't even close to being done. I still have a whole 4 minutes of footage i need to get.

Doesn't look like the correct aspect ratio, when you go to render, your SFM window must be the aspect ratio you are attempting to render in. Well that seems to be the case for me at least...

It is, lol.
How do I do the fluid animation thing? I can only move one arm at a time so it looks all disjointed and awkward.
Animate the individual bones every playthrough, and smooth them in the end.
I'm back! I plan on fixing up the blog and getting active in a community i unintentionally started, thanks to a pm from Darkomni.

Don't take all the credit. You woudn't have even released the info on how to get it if I didn't pester you :v:

I don't know how but you still managed to fuck it up. Probably your screen resolution is still at something incomprehensible but this time it's the other way around than in the avatar thread. And I'm not complaining, I'm criticising. And you don't take criticisn well apparently.
And I wouldn't advise you to make threads with unfinished low quality shit.
Another DOF animation test:

I'll get to making comical stretchy limb videos eventually :v:
has anybody realized how to get the tyndal efffect in SFM. ITs one hell of an effect when combined with color correction, grain and dynamic shadows!
ugh, i wish i knew how to get the tyndall effect.
just imagine how goddamn beautiful it would make the videos!

You can, sorta.
Add a new model to the scene, i forget how exactly to explain it, but i know how to do it in SFM if im messing with it.
You can add the tyndall effects that are models like Vol_light
It is, lol.
What resolution are you running SFM at? I don't mean which resolution you render at, but how big the window is.
Hey, do you guys want me to host the wiki on my server? It would be ad-free and you could install any plugin you wish
:saddowns:
I wish i could use that sexy dynamic smoke :smug:
You know, in Meet the Spy (When he disguises) and the Left 4 Dead 2 trailer (Bridge destruction)
We could always use particle emitters with a shitload of particles, wouldn't matter how laggy it is since we're rendering the video instead of doing it in realtime.
Speaking of particles, has anybody managed to animate them? Or create from scratch?

It will crash
Speaking of particles, has anybody managed to animate them? Or create from scratch?
Yes, im not meaning to brag, but im very skilled in the particle editing for tf2, i have made many particle effects for myself, tons of medic beams. I only released a few things because of 2 reasons.
1. My motherboard battery clip is broken, so if my computer ever gets turned off, the entire computer bios goes back to the day this was built, and tricks windows into thinking it is locked and i cannot log in, thus making myself have to reformat and loose everything.
2. FPSBanana removed all of mine because its not considered a "Skin" and considered a "Spirte" when no one even looks at the sprites page in fpsbanana because its broken and i didnt feel like wasting my time.
Here are my very first works, the only i released.
(these were made the first 2 days of teaching myself it)
No tags because thats a lot.

I am going to start making them again if someone can tell me a much better uploading site for tf2 content, other than fpsbanana.
Dynamic lightning is awesome

Solidsnail, your lights either don't cast shadows or just cast very weird shadows :x

that's why i said unintentional, lol
i'll be uploading a couple more videos today, showing off the results of further sfm experimentation.
Going to play around with this, hopefully I can get it working and all.
Will be using the wiki, as well as this thread for info - and good work to everybody on working it all out! :3
