You should probably snip that.
On topic, does anyone know how to get a file from Maya 2011 into 2009.
I'm trying to do some Motionbuilder animations, but I'm stuck in a loop. When I export FBX files from MotionBuilder 2011, I can't open them in Maya 2009. They work fine in Maya 2011, but the Source Engine plugins do not.
Anyone know?
Hey, I replaced some .vcd's and such and it works good but the actors have the constant angry expression on. How do I get rid of that, anyone know?
I made the flexes in the .vcd itself because it was easier
Maybe I just have to bite the bullet and make the flexes in-game again
Sigh... just got Maya 2011 only to realize that the source plugins only work on 2009 or below... well back to the "store..."

Try hitting the red circle near the top (not the regular record, but the animation record), select your section, highlight the Upper and Mid Face in your Animation set editor (if you've made one for your character), and use the "Default" slider. That should return your character's expression to the blank default face.

I fail at lip syncing, could have done with a better sound file too. :smith:
nvm

Yeah, I know about that, but I would expect that to reset all the flexes from the .vcd, but oh well, I guess I'll have to remake 'em.

also filler video for my bigger stuff lol
BTW an idea, for timing explosions with puppets and so on couldn't you use the slow down time method that you use with camera work to give you more time to line it up?
My first SFM video, and also my apologies (And thanks to helping me) to Darkomni for asking you so much:

there's a default vcd that always plays to make the char look angry, find it and delete it. its one that has no voice in it.

It's better to drag the upper angry slider all the way to the left.

That was a cool video. Excellent work.
Does anyone know how you remove puppets/actors from a scene once they're recorded?

Oh yes! That was really cool! It really resembled the original opening.
Hey is any one else here having problems with faceposer's auto recognition right now? I have tried lip syncing files I have in the past that have worked perfectly but now I always get the yellow error about a full extraction not being complete. Is it just me or is anyone else now having problems with their lip sync?

TBH, does anyone know how to fix the shadow?
If you look carefully you would notice that there is no shadow at all...
what am i gonna do........HALP I am outta clue.
Hey guys. I figured out how to fix the manipulator tool.
You know how using it from certain angles, the arrows/circles got all enormous and you had to find a new location?
Yeah, I figured out how to fix that.
Stop using "Work Camera" to work, use "Active Camera". Simple as that. If you guys want a tutorial on how to get "Active Camera" to be able to move around like "Work Camera" then I'll post one.
I mixed a bit of gmod into this one.

He thinks it costs $11,000 to build a new computer.
That enrages me a little.
