YAY! I got it working. I re-installed TF2, then I had to NOT install the patch_blahblahblah and hotfix files, just the final_fixx. Loaded it up without tools, it worked, with tools, worked again. Works fine now. :D ...Now I just have to figure it out. TO YOUTUBE, AWAAAY

Anyone using 2Fort Nights still getting purple water even with mat_specular at 0?
I'm pretty sure that's because mat_specular only controls cubemap reflections on anything that is NOT water :p tried using buildcubemaps?

Got another problem or two: I can get hats into SFM, but they're black so I figured it was the whole "delete any instance of "yellow" in the vmt's". Well I tried that and the hats are still solid black. They aren't crucial, it's just the knowing they aren't quite right if I do ever want to use them. Also: guitar is untextured. And does anyone run a map with rain effects in SFM? I don't have CTF or Arena_Sawmill, but I do have 2Fort_time_tstorm_b1 and the rain isn't coming down. Thunder and lightning work great, just no falling rain effect... and the water is untextured despite my attempts to build cubemaps on both it and 2Fort_Nights.

i have a problem. i can start up hydro, well, and gravel pit just fine. but when i try to load up any other stock map SFM froze! can anyone help me?
i have all the files, but when i try to run the desktop .exe, it tells me something about servermodule.dll being missing. i have everything in the right place, i've checked several times over, and it does the same thing with the RUN_TF2 file in the directory. i asked 2 quick questions about sfm to robin 1.how will sfm have hats/weapons/misc/blah incorporated? 2.will it be less buggy/crashy and easier to use? still no response, ill post back if i get one.

And for the other question... Did you really have to ask that? I mean really? We're using the bootleg, beta, incomplete as fuck version and here we are four years later and you have to ask if it's still buggy and crashy?

just woke up torrent is done installing the game now [editline]9th April 2011[/editline] installation is done finished putting enginetools in bin finished putting final fixx advanced into the Team Fortress 2 folder, replaced everything. made a desktop shortcut from hl2.exe put -game tf -applaunch 440 -window -noborder -novid -tools in the target. running now.
