Another hat-filled update is just another wasted update to me, though the boss and the map is awesome. I'd really like it if these new weapons actually fucking changed gameplay.
Oh, and I never bitched when we got the uber update weapons, any new weapon is a refreshing experience for me, but reskins? Not so.
Such a shame, some of these weapon models are really awesome too, too bad they're wasted on reskins.

I never complained on a single weapon from the uber update. You know, when I come back to it, I think what made me angry is that after the uber update and the manno update, I was expecting something big, but it seems the uber update really was a year supply of weapon.
Of course the time spent waiting and the expectation were a little aggravating and I did end up sounding like a flaming faggot. My bad.

Well at least all this useless content will only be usable on halloween and full moon (same goes for the maps unfortunately) so these useless items won't be there for the most time, but I'm not used to "just ignore" an entire pack of hats/weapons.
Since when is TF2 Pay-to-win? They're only offering the store as an easy way to get items fast, and weapons are sidegrades not upgrades.

Man I completely agree with you. TF2 crashes every 5 minutes for me as it is, and it's really no consolation that one of the main contributors to this is this gigantic pile of cosmetic uselessness valve have released upon us. If not having a pointless weapon called the Wang Dick or whatever that does exactly the same thing as another weapon is the difference between not crashing and crashing, surely there's one side I'll be leaning towards?

Why the fuck would you complain about content just because it isn't the content you want? I'm sure they'll eventually release some new weapons, just because the content released in the last update WASN'T weapons doesn't mean they could've easily been replaced with weapons and doesn't justify whether or not it was a good update. Releasing content that people like, that's a good update, not appealing to the specific desires of the guys who want weapons and not releasing anything for anybody else until they make some damn weapons.

I want more reskins than actual weapons with stats!

You guys realize that most of my friends stopped playing this game because it's becoming bloated. There are too many weapons as is, that's just a fact. They should only add new ones that are extremely original, like the chainsaw or the Mobile Gun.
We definately didn't get any new game changing bosses or anything in this update, don't worry.
It's really not a big deal.
reskins without crafting recipes make it difficult to weapon collectors like myself to get the items.
At the very least we need crafting recipes for them if they're going to keep pulling these reskins out

I think the Spy arm is alright. Yea it's a Holy Mackerel, but it does an "Arm Kill!" so at least it's not just the same exact weapon.
The voodoo pin is kind of weird though. I would have preferred such a unique weapon like YER be restricted to just YER, but I guess if it were a big earner or a kunai nobody would want or use it.

This is a thread about weapons. The update and the costumes were cool. But we've had 5 major updates without a single new weapon this year.

To be honest I really don't care about weapons.
I'm satisfied with the weapons I already have.
Besides, the difficulty with adding "original" weapons is that it'd likely be very hard to balance. There's a reason Engie doesn't get many weapons - alot more balancing has to be put in them so they don't end up being completely gamebreaking or absolutely useless.
Even with stuff like a "chainsaw" everybody wants for the Heavy, it'd be very crippling if the balancing is done- the whole point of the Heavy is to be a giant wall of firepower and health, and the chainsaw would eliminate the firepower part, meaning the Heavy would have to get up and close to enemies to actually kill again, and considering how that means he'd have to take on an ambush playstyle again, it'd might not be very good or fun for anyone.
It's probably the reason why we don't get many "original" weapons.

I like this update. Scarabix, leave Scream Fortress alone! He's a pretty cool guy, you know, he wouldn't give you all this neat stuff that looks nice and shiny for free if his parents wasn't Valve.
To me, this is even better than Christmas.
