I'm assuming the sandvich still heals allies for 150 HP. However, if the Heavy picks it up, he will get it back. That way, if your ally for some foresaken reason ignores or does not notice the sandvich you try to give them, and run off, you can just pick it back up.
Ahh ok. Yeah that makes sense.
I will just use the steak. Its not like I ever used the full heal future of the sandvich.
Those 3 nerfs are either underpowered or stupid as shit.
the first one - the reload for revolvers is fast anyways, so no problem there
second one - gives 4 seconds of DR and normal Cloak, and 3 seconds of CnD, how is that fucking useful?
third one - Useless nerf if the spy has a spy-cicle (and most enforcer spies do)
They're downsides guy.
What are tomislav's current stats now? worse than the stock minigun amirite?
It is silent.
Silent Killer: No barrel spin sound
20% slower firing speed
ohh man ees silent leave 20% slower firing speed
stupid should have kept it the same but with -10 dmg,
I like all of these changes, gj Valve.
What are tomislav's current stats now? worse than the stock minigun amirite?
Silent Killer.
-20% Firing Spped.
It's completely pathetic now, it's not even a REAL silent killer. Sure, the spin-up is silent, but the weapon still make heavy noise when fired, and characters still scream when they die from it.
finally, a heavy nerf.
too bad itll be months before it is put into the main game.
Enforcer nerf - OH god I love you valve.
If anything, they should just lessen the spin-up buff on the Tomislav. Make it like 20%-30% or something. I feel cheated that I never got to use it when it still had 60% faster spin-up for the first few days. :v:
While the nerfs are welcomed, I think they're approaching the Tomislav incorrectly. As is, there's no reason to use it. Oh boy, you're silent. As the slowest class in the game. Dealing less damage than usual.
I really like the Sandvich one, though. Very clever.

Release Tomislav is some of the best fun I've had in TF2 EVER!
Especially because the same patch brought a Buffalo Steak bug, so you could change to your mini-gun while keeping the mini-crits :v:
I first misread that sandvich ammo thing. I thought picking up a sandvich would replenish your minigun ammo :v:
(which would be hilarious)
The Heavy nerf makes no damn sense. The lack of a spin-up noise isn't even a stat, it's only there because the model itself has no barrel to spin. Taking away the faster spin-up literally only leaves it with a shorter firing speed, which is incredibly stupid and is in no way a good solution.

I'd rather they just revert the spin-up buff he got back in the 118th update altogether but retain the spin-down buff he was given then.
His problem was disengaging once he had committed, being able to spin down faster and move around faster while spun up was a good way to do that. Shortening the spinup made Heavy way too forgiving for players who never planned ahead of time, they were given less time where they were a sitting duck because of their inability to pay attention. Tomislav only emphasizes that problem.
Once they do that, they can mess around with values to make the weapons affected by it a little more fair overall. Tomislav and Brass Beast would see the most notable changes because they have fast and slow spinups respectively as the game is now.
Just my 2 cents. But what do I know, it's not like I've been playing since pre-release beta or something :v:
The Sandvich nerf is fucking stupid, it was the only reason i used it.
i will start using shotgun again if valve does this sandvich nerf.
Actually silent killer refers to the fact that it doesn't produce a kill message in the top right.

Makes sense. I'd rather see a more abstract solution though, not something that just tweaks the guns slightly. The Enforcer nerf is good, it doesn't try to mend what they already set in place, it scraps the old downsides in favor of new ones. Sandvich nerf also works well because of how it alters how the Sandvich works without making it useless.
Also, I wish we would see more buffs. It seems that Valve never springs in to action unless SUF thinks something is overpowered. Meanwhile incredibly dull and relatively useless weapons like the Winger, Family Business, Brass Beast, and Warrior's Spirit are left to just be downgrades to the default weapons. Not to mention that weapons like the Mantreads and the Detonator, which have very interesting mechanics but are left useless due to over-cautiousness on Valve's part with these new mechanics.
That's really another topic entirely though.

no
Sandvich nerf? Great, now I'm doomed to die when I'm healing a Heavy and I'm on fire :suicide:
Actually silent killer refers to the fact that it doesn't produce a kill message in the top right.
That only has been applied to Spy knives. They'd have to hardcode it to work for the Tomislav as well because the attribute only disables spinup sounds for Minigun weapons.

You misunderstand dude. Heavies can't pick up their own sandviches to heal themselves. Everyone else can still use them normally.

I know, I'm not retarded, but since Heavies won't be able to quick heal themselves, I see a lot of Heavies not equipping the Sandvich, therefor no Sandvich for me neither.
To be honest I don't support the Sandvich nerf.
I usually do save it for when a teammate needs to be healed, but possibly removing from healing you with the right click is a bit much.
Maybe make it heal the Heavy slightly more than a small medkit, and heal your teammates such as a medium medkit. Doesn't overpower it really, but you can use it as a helping hand if you have to.
--- January 27, 2012 ---
Sandvich
The heavy no longer gains health from a Sanvich they drop; It re-fills their Sanvich ammo instead.

For the love of god, no.
For the love of god, no.
I find it the perfect nerf. It needed something anyways.
Sandvich nerf is good, Heavy shouldn't have a near-instant medium health kit whenever he wants
Tomislav nerf means it actually has a stealth focus now, good to see they realized that fast spinup wasn't workable
I know, I'm not retarded, but since Heavies won't be able to quick heal themselves, I see a lot of Heavies not equipping the Sandvich, therefor no Sandvich for me neither.
If I were you I'd be more worried about hurt Heavies now disengaging combat while you heal them and stopping for four seconds to snack.
Enforcer stats changed to:
0.5 increased decloak time
Unable to see enemy health
This isn't even a nerf, give it slower firing speed and lower clip size dammit.
