Well, the Equalizer nerf never happened, so maybe this wont. The sandvich nerf is ridiculous. Making it only work for the heavy with the left click is not a very good idea. Forcing the slowest, biggest class hide in the middle of a battle to heal himself for 4 seconds is hardly a good idea.

The creators of the Ebenezer and Holiday Headcase didn't get paid for their items because they agreed to those terms. I don't speak legalese, so there's probably some other complications that I'm unaware of. But you can still inquire if it'd be possible to update it for them, even if you didn't get paid royalties for it. You already made the updated version, so you don't really have anything to lose at this point.

So like the Wiki Cap, those tournament badges, etc.

It's a unique arrangement given the unique circumstances of the hat

The assets can be updated, this isn't anything new. But the fact that Valve is the sole recipient of revenue from that item is what complicates things.

Heavy is insanely survivable now to the extent where there is literally next to no purpose to not have a Sandvich or Steak unless you have a very good medic. The instant run-and-nom tactic means that heavies have an effective 450 health for any one class to damage, potentially more if he runs over a health pack and replenishes it along the way. I use this tactic all the time, and personally, I'd love to see it gone. Then again, I've wanted the sticky bombs nerfed since day one and Demoman is my most played class.

we managed to do fine without being able to throw sandvich before, so now we have a way to help our doctors and just go back to the old way we used to use the sandvich. Of the changes, I think the Sandvich is probably the least of our concerns. The Enforcer and Tomislav nerfs seem very harsh. The Enforcer doesn't need the "no seeing health" they already fixed the problem it had with the Dead Ringer, why the need to double nerf it?

I don't use the Tomislav so I'm pretty indifferent about that nerf, but yay! Sandvich nerf was predictable. I'm going to miss lumping my instant 150 HP on the ground. The Enforcer needed a nerf and it's a clever one they picked indeed. I hope these new stats gets in the full game.

[/QUOTE] It's not really clever, considering reading health and picking off weak targets was pretty much the entire point of the Enforcer (when used with other cloaks). All it needed was a nerf with the DR (which it also got), the not seeing health is just overkill and makes the weapon incredibly underpowered and lacking a niche.

Does the Sandvich nerf apply to the Steak? Keep the Steak as is and apply the nerf to the Sandvich would make them sidegrades, imo.

It's not impossible to manage with as a Spy.

I asked that Ned check once he's able to get into TF2Beta since I don't even have it installed right now. Better to be completely sure than to guess. And 150hp instant medkit is still bullshit, it'd only make the Steak even better than the Sandvich (it was an upgrade already, the primary fire is never used for ANYTHING, so the Steak's primary fire is used for doing a rollout to mid).
The sandvich nerf is a good thing. Rarely would I have to actually eat my sandvich as a heavy to refill my health. I could just throw it down and gain the health without having to stop.

It was those items that got me really pumped for the über update. And dont kick yourself for the anims. Wonder why Valve just didnt do it themselves
