Shotty is great for many things, such as Compression pyros, (The ones that CB like they're spastic 12 year olds), you can get blasted, then while you're away, just shoot them.
Plus it's good against Flare pyros, because flare vs a pyro doesn't do much, now a shotty on the other hand...
Homewrecker is good for engies, specifically Dustbowl and 2fort.
Be sure to get this weapon soon, because it's really good if you help out your engies whenever possible.
