Fallas, I know this is not the thread for skins, but could someone maybe make a HD skin for the Drect Hit? I mean, make the .vtf bigger so that it looks less cheap?

And like it says in the description, if you want to extract the tips themselves then open it in Notepad and search for "tip_fmt". From there you can find all the tips.

Yes, unfortunately. Also if you have other custom stuff in your tf_english, make sure you keep a backup somewhere. TF2 automatically deletes any custom version of tf_english.txt every time it updates. It also deletes any custom version of items_game.ctx, too, so keep a backup of that.

At least I know the actual text limits on each line for each situation they're displayed in, unlike Valve. :v:
You must also remember that these are still early work in progress. I'm still getting the hang of the format and rephrasing the lines to be smaller and smaller.

But I WILL try to rephrase and rephrase and rephrase until I'm inside the lines for every weapon. You also have to remember that the little pop-up bubble is only one place where this text appears and that everywhere else it looks fine.
...except Valve's own text (see the Max hat above). While they tried to maintain a three-line format, they made some of the lines too long and thus they overflow and create new lines. That hideous five-line Max hat description also shows up when you inspect other players using the hat.

By editing the items_game.ctx to include the "item_description" asset on every item. From there I've been linking them to new lines I'm writing in tf_english.txt, but for practicality's sake I'll probably just copy them over to the CTX and release it as a CTX-only mod. That way there won't be conflicts with other tf_english.txt mods like my tips mod and plus if somebody uses a different language, the description will show up no matter what instead of changing into "#TF_Weapon_Bat_Desc".

Yes. I've gotten text problems to show up across multiple resolutions with Valve's text.
