I only trade single hats for single hats, and I traded my crate for a level 3 metal.

Crates ain't worth shit anymore. Everyone has em. What's the currecny now is Refined Metal, holy shit i can get anything i want with one. I got what, 7 Refined Metals in my backpack and people are begging for them, promising 4 hats and shit. :wtc:

There was a guy who gave me his fedora because of all of these terrible trades. He went crazy and just gave it to me. Remember kids, always be on a raging guys side.

I would try trading weapons for weapons, if I could actually find someone who wasn't so buttfuckingly obsessed with hats. Its a damn weapon, I shouldn't have to trade 5 weapons and 6 hats just for a single weapon from the update.

My solution is to actually discuss trades beforehand, avoid TF2items, and trade with your friends.

i dislike how you can only request hats for hats. I have a Fedora i dont want, but would like 2 (or maybe even 3) keys for it, but i cant specify item requests or quantities on the site :'(

It's not like trying to trade in regular means is any better, maybe by just a bit but it can be bad.

I had a bad luck on TF2items, too and then I found one really kind guy who gave me Fedora for Tricorne :love:

I wanted the Nappers Respite. Everyone on TF2 Items was all "3-4 HATS BECAUSE IT'S NEW", that happened about 7 times (in roughly half an hour) Luckily enough, on a mario kart map some guy asked me "Hey, can I have your Vintage Merryweather? I have one of those new pyro hats". <3 He'd wanted a Merryweather ever since it came out, so it felt good trading with that person instead of some random jerk.

Most of the new hats are pretty shitty. I have my perfect hat collection right now, and none of them are the new hats. Hell, two of them (the Stash & Mining light) are the original hats. It it just because they're new that people are being silly and trading several hats for them, or do they have a genuine like for a stupid Dr. Seuss hat or a stupidly unfitting Chief feather hat?

I think anyone smart enough will realize that patience is the key. Of course new hats will command higher asking prices, but as time goes on, we'll see more of them being crafted and then there won't be any of this "I want 8 hats for my Chieftan" business. At least until the next hat release.

Trading is bullshit anyway, all the fucking servers are filled with trading AFKers, stopped playing TF2 until they do something about it.

At one point, before Trading dropped, there were literally dozens of people "willing" to trade their Bill's Hat for my Gibus or their Refined Metal for my Reclaimed.

I had one guy on a server I was on that kept spamming me with trade requests. I'd accept the request, he'd ask for an item I didn't have in incredibly broken English that I had to ask about several times, and I'd tell him I didn't have it. He'd break off the trade and, I guess, look through the Mann Co. Catalog for another item he wanted. I finally got enough of it and went over the mic and suggested he ask before starting the trade about the item, to see if I had it. I didn't get another trade request.
