Well but that doesn't apply when I think this update is bad, then he well go like "OMG DONT BUY THE GAEM THEN U IDIOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!".
No that's his opinion on calling you out on what is essentially enough 3 cosmetic options given to people that brought another game
You rarely notice the guns unless you pay close attention if you didn't buy it
I still don't get what they're up in arms about? It's a little bit of harmless advertising and telltale games are a perfectly respectable developer that deserves more attention

But the weapons doesn't really fit the art style of TF2, the weapons are oversized and the hat is flat out ugly, I want Sam & Max items in TF2 as much as I want MW2 items, i.e. not at all.

This is your opinion. I think the hat is fine even though it's a little misaligned on the Heavy's head if you look at the right angle, but it's just a little nag.

Valve does not cater to you.
[editline]03:24PM[/editline]
Or anyone for that matter. They do what they want. They can put hats and weapons from another game you may or may not like into their game and there's nothing you can do about it but sit there and whine.
Drop rates are still shit to me.
ever sense the update I haven't had a single drop :v:
The hell.
Also Sams hat's textures are in the files from what I'm told, someone should model it :T
Valve should add it and give it to anyone who beats all episodes of the new Sam & Max.

Yes, I can't do anything about it.
So I whine.
EDIT: Looking at your profile, it looks like you've bought TF2 solely to get the Sam & Max items. I think we're done here.
I don't mind exclusive items, I just wish they weren't so dumb looking.

it's funny because i don't have sam and max what in the hell is wrong with you
[editline]04:21PM[/editline]
If you'd looked for more than .05 seconds, you'd notice I have the rest of VALVe's games with very little playtime on any of them because I just bought the Orange Box a week ago. Why am I even arguing with this dumbass?

What the fuck are you talking about?
I think we're done here if your arguemant is getting this retarded
True/False:
A game developer has an obligation to the consumer - who has paid for their product - to retain the basic identity of intellectual property which they have released.
Game Developers have an obligation to the consumer to retain the basic components of the intellectual property for which the consumer has paid.
In Team Fortress 2's case, these would be:
- System requirements
- Core gameplay elements
- In-game content
- Functionality (i.e. - online)
- Artistic direction
The last one is included due to its importance to Team Fortress 2 - a very unique FPS in terms of design. Adding content that infringes upon the artistic direction can be a negative thing. In this case, specifically, the items adhere to the basic artistic design guidelines of the TF2 but remain out of place due to their origin... and the fact that there are now bloodthirsty mercenaries running around with bisected rabbit skulls perched atop their noggins. It's just... out of place.
In my opinion.
And my opinion favors the TF2 I purchased and loved long ago, not the TF2 that is becoming so bogged down with extraneous content that is beginning to become disconnected from the simple charm that made it what it was.
I don't know, I'm just sentimental when it comes to experiences with gaming.
"lol you don't have to buy it" isn't the point, mind you. :P

He assumed, since you have only 10.9 total gameplay hours of Team Fortress 2.

True

No not really
In Team Fortress 2's case, these would be:
- System requirements
They can't change that
- Core gameplay elements
Thanks master of the obvious
- In-game content
Nope they can fuck around with in game content all they want
- Functionality (i.e. - online)
Again nope they can pull the plug on online at any moment they feel like
- Artistic direction
What the fuck are you rambling about? Valve have no obligation to stick to their artistic design

Yet bloodthirsty mercenaries running around with toy slugs and gloves on their heads are perfectly fine
In my opinion.
I know it's your fucking opinion don't point it out so you can hide behind your shield so I can't bash you for it

First of all quit raging.
Secondly he's saying that in his opinion he should still be able to play the game he paid for years ago, and that the supplier shouldn't be able to mess with it without making it optional.
"- System requirements
They can't change that"
They do, with every update it goes higher.
"Yet bloodthirsty mercenaries running around with toy slugs and gloves on their heads are perfectly fine"
Funny, I hate both of those hats too. And I'm sure he does. So wheee
"I know it's your fucking opinion don't point it out so you can hide behind your shield so I can't bash you for it"
As if he cares if some idiot bashes him.
"How? All games must evolve it's a very simple fact TF2 can't always remain the exact same forever"
True but we should have an option to make changes optional since we paid for it.
It's like if the car manufacturer decided to change your paint job and rearrange the dashboard.
You dudes care to much.
Just sayin'
I bought Sam and Max: The Devil's Playhouse. FUCKING LOVE IT.
Sam & Max is awesome.
Valve, a bigger company, is helping a small company make a bit more cash by advertising their game a bit.
Is that really so wrong?

I just wish they'd do it in a way that doesn't involve forcing me to play with dudes wearing bunny heads for as long as the game lasts.
You could live with it for a few weeks or so, the amount of Max heads being seen in-game will decrease as time goes by. I actually don't see the Bill's Hat nearly as much as I used to, even the Halo.
[editline]09:51PM[/editline]
Chances are, it will be the most rare event hat.
I'm loving my new hat and weapons. My gratitude towards Telltale is endless!
I'm not really a fan of hats or the drop system at this point. To assume that I think that "bloodthirsty mercenaries running around with toy slugs and gloves on their heads are perfectly fine" is just that: an assumption.
That's actually a part of the reason that I've begun to enjoy Team Fortress 2 much less. The humor that the game originally exhibited was much more subtle and believable. This humor quickly evolved outside of the game with additions such as fake advertisements, tons of jokes in the blog posts and update pages, and the addition of a much richer backstory (Mann Co., Saxton Hale, the Announcer, et cetera). It also began leaking into the game in the form of more "wacky" domination lines, and even items (Jarate [which, despite being so absurd, was executed extremely well; that's another subject, however]). Hats were a mistake from the beginning. Despite being functionless accouterments, they divided the community into the "have"s and the "have not"s - worse, the division was purely random, creating a sense of frustration and futility amongst the masses of Irish poor. That is an extremely glaring mistake, and looking back at it now I am very surprised that Valve instituted random hat drops. But I digress... the humor behind these hats (mostly hats) is so disconnected from the distinct atmosphere of the Team Fortress 2 universe that it almost infringes upon its identity.
Games evolve, but they don't always evolve in the right direction.
Edit: That's what I'm saying, Mexican (both posts). So, yeah. :)

It is one hat, it is a plain colour, it isn't flashing, it doesn't block your view, it doesn't give them any advantages, it is one hat that maybe one or two people in most servers will have.
I still, in full honesty think that sam and max as a franchise is more popular then team fortress 2.
Not saying it's more popular then valve or half-life, but just tf2.
There's a reason why people quote Hit the Road rather often, why S+M had it's own comic books, and had it's own television program :v:

I know it's not particularly annoying and it's definitely not going to ruin my gaming experience or anything. I'll I'm saying is I miss the old stylized TF2.

Same, the good old days where players were judged not by what was on their head, but by their skill.

and still is I do not know who you've been talking to
The Halloween event was done perfectly: it was a silly fun event that only lasted a limited time (aside from the fucking gibus)
So, if I were to send a gift of this game to a friend within the week, would I get the in-game Tf2 items for actually purchasing it?
Or will my friend receive both the Game and the Tf2 items?
