As others have stated, he is merely offering the opportunity to spend money on a service, it is up to yourself to decide whether you want to spend money on it or not. I wouldn't spend my money on it, but if someone wants to, let them.

There is nothing wrong with what he is doing. He just needs some money to support the site. Keep in mind he also needs to support the Sourceop servers and site. DF has done a great job.

Yeah, anything's possible as long as it's just on TF2items.com
Item spoofing, inflated view counts, etc.
But it would be a slippery slope for tf2items.com reputation. If people can't believe what's on people's profiles, they'll just use another website. Tf2stats.net already has a backpack viewer for any profile. No difference than with tf2items.com.

It's still free, it's not like he's completely removing features from non-premiums.
I don't like the idea but you guys are making a big deal out of nothing.
I could just open up a backpack program or start up the game. And usually, the refresh is 30-45 minutes. It won't kill you to find out if your [b]extremely small chance of a drop[/b] succeeded by waiting a little bit longer.
