Quick progress update before I go to dinner:
I still have a lot of work to do on the stock, the barrel and action dont QUITE fit in right, as you can see only a small bit of the trigger. I think I got the shape and size pretty good though. This will obviously be painted in the end.

looks good, you should make a groove in the wood bit to make it fit better.
you going to use a laser pen or something for the red dot?
Keep those white socks off the grass!

Atleast it wasn't a sock comment.
I love how it's turning out I would buy the full thing from you.
you deserve gold member
i like where this is going
This is truly awesome.
Good job -- keep going!
If you pull the rail mount from the bottom, you could probably incorporate this into the entire rear portion of the gigantic scope the Sniper slapped on his rifle.
this looks cool

I was actually thinking of putting a 3-9x40 scope in there.
Speaking of which, as I sit here, Ive come to a dilemma. What am I going to use as glass lenses (Or non-glass lenses, more than likely) for the massive beast of a scope?
Any ideas?
Thin clear plastic from Tupperware containers layered on top of each other, and then the edges glued.
This has potential to be awesome. Good luck.
Save yourself all the do-it-yourself crap, find a 1977 Ruger 10/22.

Then just make a custom scope.
Lulzertank can get out.

Nope, its the shittier predecessor to the MP0001 made by UTG, the M234.
Cool!
I tought I'd give mine the look of the 30mm rifle from Hellsing(tough not the silly crack-open-to-reload thingy.
Anyway the barrel and trigger box is exacly what mp0001 have.
Also I suggest you find a SPAS12 stock, that's almost exacly what the rail on the rifle looks like.

To bad the body looks nothing even remotely like the Sniper rifle, other than the fact that its wooden.
The VERY VERY humble beginnings of a scope, and a fresh (Still shiny from not being dry) coat of paint for the stock.
Scope is not even close to done, but I figured Id post it anyway.

Edit:
Indoor lighting makes me cry :'( Also, editing OP for easy progress viewing

Going good so far, I can't wait to see the final gun.
Try to sandpaper the wooden part. It has to sharp corners.
No kidding...

The stock, or the wooden brace on the scope?
Because the stock is actually quite smooth, but still slightly angular. Ill try to get a better picture.
Make it all smooth and happy looking.
5000 grit sand paper!
