But it isn't unusual for pre-orders to not show up in your games list when you get them through Steam Trading. Dead Island didn't show on mine until days before it released. Saints Row 3 still isn't in my games list:

but it is in my Library.

As long as it shows in your Library (set it to show all games, including uninstalled), you have it. The "invalid" sounds weird though.

Glad you found it. I was freaking out at first when neither Dead Island nor Saints Row 3 were showing up in my games list after trading for them, until I noticed they were both in my Library (since I usually have it set to hide uninstalled games). Steam could probably be a little bit clearer with this, at least pop up a message saying like, "Pre-orders will not show up in Games List until release date approaches, go to Library and choose 'All Games' to view" or something. I guess its like this with purchased pre-orders too, but I'd never pre-ordered anything before.

edit: Oh, its in your Games List too. Haha, just delayed then in this case, strange.
