Hello, good people of the trade thread (Or lurkers where applicable). [B](Skip to the TL;DR if you please, this is a big read.)[/B] I am here before you today to warn, as [URL="http://www.facepunch.com/threads/1090629-The-Items-for-games-trades-Megathread-v2?p=30946902&viewfull=1#post30946902"]Sir Spicy Buns[/URL] has done before me, against trading, or even negoiating with [URL="http://steamcommunity.com/id/TehWhale/"]Erp[/URL], or [URL="http://www.facepunch.com/members/181277-TehWhale"]TehWhale[/URL], as he's know on Facepunch. Yesterday night, I opened up negoiations with him; He wanted a copy of Terraria and Killing Floor while they were on sale, and in exchange offered me the contents of [URL="http://www.tf2items.com/id/TehWhale"]his Backpack[/URL], telling me that he no longer played TF2, and that he had no use for the stuff. Now, this wasn't especially strange to me, because I've done trades like this before where the other party has stopped playing TF2 and just wants to get something out of their backpack. In this case, however, I had to track down the games that Erp was asking for, because although I normally just deal with game purchases through other people, almost everybody I knew was out of cash after buying thing on sale. 7 hours of looking later, and I had managed to track down a copy of Killing floor. After checking to see if Erp was still on-board with the trade, I looked for Terraria a bit longer, and got a middleman. The sale ended, and Erp said he was letting his friend use his steam account to play a game, and that we could trade for Killing floor, the one game I got my hands on, when he got back. So guess what? When he gets back, after that assload of work I put into finding him the game, he goes and says something along the lines of “lol sry got it already”, to which I responded with a resounding “ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME.” That was the last I'd heard from him for a few hours until I asked if there was anything else he wanted that I had a gift pass for. (Because after all of that work, I wanted to get SOMETHING out of having the misfortune of meeting him.) He picked Defence grid, which was the same price as Killing Floor at the time with the sale, and told me to pick out some stuff from his backpack. After I picked out a nice selection of things that honestly weren't asking too much, especially considering he had offered me Literally Half of his backpack for a game of the same price earlier, he laughed in my face by saying “Are you high?” To top all of this off, after the him laughing me down, I told him to just give me something that I had won in a raffle of his earlier, and I would be on my way. I can't stress enough that you shouldn't even attempt to trade him, especially if it involves any amount of work on your part. I normally will track down things for people just to be a nice person, but clearly in this case that was a very bad idea. The only other thing I have to say is that the “Scammers” list in the OP should be either Bolded or moved above the trusted sellers list, seeing as Erp is on there, and I somehow missed it.

So from what I can tell, people were bitching because Erp decided to stop his trade after it was leaked to /v/. Also that he was going to do a trade for games, but decided not to. I see no problem.
